JOB POSITION
- Carelon Global Solutions India is looking for a Senior Business Analyst .
- In this role, associate will be primarily responsible for requirements analysis, analysis of data, processes & systems associated with the requirements, creating and managing a product backlog for a specific set of capabilities of a Health Insurance focused product/application.
- While you take planned features to the market, you are also expected to keep yourself up to date with the market/competition and bring fresh ideas that will help in creating a competitive Product.
- In this position you will work in a global product team collaborating with the Engineering, Product and Business teams .
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Conducting market/competitor assessments and discussions with internal teams to identify new features that could improve the competitiveness of the Product
- Creation of business cases for compelling ideas working with the US Product Manager with preliminary estimates collaborating with engineering/architect team members
- Analysis of high level requirements and breaking them down to logical features and user-stories with clear objectives, outcomes and acceptance criteria
- Creating, managing and prioritization of the Product Backlog
- Conducting PI Planning, grooming and sprint planning sessions with the Engineering teams
- Participating in the scrum and ensuring requirement related impediments/clarifications faced by the team are resolved
- Work closely with the stakeholders (Engineering Lead, Engineering team members, Architects, Business, Onshore Product Manager, Quality Team, Release teams) during the course of product development
- Maintain requirements related risks/issues and track them to closure by working with the respective stakeholders
- Working with UX/UI designers to articulate requirements and enabling them to create mockups
- Reviewing test cases, test scenarios created by the QA team for User Story testing
- Validation of the test results and user-story acceptance
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), working with UAT stakeholders
- Lead product demo with stakeholders for feedback and providing status updates (progress/risk/challenges)
- Participating and preparing Business Readiness documents (including release notes, Quick Start Guides, User Manuals, FAQs) for end-user training
- Assist in gathering and performing analysis including data analysis/profiling, process flow analysis, issue/observation analysis, root cause analysis (need basis)
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (BCA/MCA) from a recognized University
- MBA or equivalent (PGDM, Diploma in Management) would be an added advantage
- Specialized training, certifications, and/or other special requirements (one or more of the below will be nice to have):
- Product Management (example certifications listed below)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)
- SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
- Pragmatic Marketing
- US Healthcare (AHM250)
- Business Analysis (example certifications listed below)
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
- CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business).
EXPERIENCE
- Overall work experience of 4-7 years of IT industry work experience
- About 2-3 years of experience in Product Management (includes sprint planning, backlog management, PI Planning, Market Assessment)
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Exposure to Jira, Rally, Confluence or other user story /requirement management tools
- Prior experience of working with SQL , Data Analytics, Reporting, AI would be an added advantage
- Prior experience in US Healthcare, Startups will be very valuable.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Stakeholder Management (Ability to connect and communicate with technical, functional and business stakeholders)
- Backlog management, User story writing, User Story grooming, Sprint Planning
- Understanding of US Healthcare players and 1-2 process areas (like claims, benefits, provider/network management)
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of technology (Databases, Data Flows, SQL, Reporting, Cloud, AI concepts)
- Hands-on usage of AI tools that help in product management.
