Sandvik

Product Owner - Platform Integration Smart Tools

Sweden, Sandviken Full time

Do you enjoy working where smart technology actually makes a difference for customers?

This role is right where tools, data, and digital platforms come together at Sandvik Coromant. If being part of what’s next sounds appealing, you’ll feel at home here.

About the job

As Product Owner for Platform Integration Smart Tools, the focus is on bringing two leading technologies – Spike and CoroTurn – together into one scalable platform within Sandvik Coromant. Based at pro-micron within Smart Tools, the role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution in close collaboration with Digital Business, R&D, Sales, and Business Development.

The role starts as an individual contributor with a strong coordination and staff focus, with clear potential to grow into a broader product leadership position over time.

In this role, you:

  • Drive the platform vision and target architecture for integrated smart tool solutions

  • Shape and own the product roadmap across hardware, software, cloud, and data services

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, turning direction into epics and user stories

  • Align stakeholders across teams, companies, and locations

  • Assess technical concepts to support compatibility, scalability, and future readiness

  • Identify highvalue use cases and contribute to value propositions and business models

Location and flexibility

You can be based in Münich, Germany, or in Sweden (Sandviken or Stockholm).

Your profile

A strong technical foundation combined with a commercial and strategic mindset sets you up for success. Moving between bigpicture thinking and practical execution feels natural. Clear communication comes naturally, and you’re comfortable facilitating discussions that help teams align and move forward. Coordinating people and priorities across functions is part of how you work, and leading in matrix organizations through collaboration and influence feels natural.

This role suits you if you have:

  • A degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, or similar

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or System Architect

  • Solid knowledge of sensor technology, embedded software, and cloud or data platforms

  • Experience with integrated hardwaresoftware solutions and digital or IoTbased offerings

  • A good understanding of how digital products create customer value and can be monetized

  • Experience contributing to business models such as datadriven services or combined HW/SW offerings
