The Role

AspenTech is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Product Owner to join our Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) organization. In this role, you will partner closely with the Agile Team Lead and development team to maximize the business value delivered by the team. As the voice of the customer and business, you will own the team backlog, define priorities, and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives. This position requires a strong blend of business acumen, technical understanding, and leadership within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate high-level business needs into actionable features and user stories, ensuring clarity and measurable outcomes. The Senior Product Owner plays a critical role in guiding the team toward delivering innovative, high value outcomes that drive operational excellence and customer success.

As a member of the EOP development team, you’ll work on cutting‑edge industrial edge‑connectivity and distributed‑computing projects that surface data from the plant floor all the way to the cloud. The team focuses on building highly performant data services that securely move and manage massive volumes of information. You’ll help create solutions that configure, contextualize, analyze, and visualize data, making it easily accessible to a wide range of applications. The EOP platform supports multiple operating systems and serverless cloud‑native technology stacks, giving the team opportunities to work across a diverse set of modern technologies.

Your Impact

  • Own and manage the team backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with business objectives and value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, System Architects, and Agile Team Lead to refine features into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the Agile team, promoting transparency and shared understanding of goals.
  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap at the team level, ensuring alignment with program and portfolio priorities.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) to provide context and clarity on priorities.
  • Validate delivered functionality against acceptance criteria and business objectives, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of customer-centricity, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to influence product strategy.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product ownership or product management, with at least 3+ years in an Agile environment.
  • Language requirement: French: A1 (advanced) and English level C1 (advanced), the position requires interactions with international clients.
  • Experience in development of and/or working with industrial software solutions
  • Good understanding of typical challenges and workflows in industrial settings
  • Experience and knowledge about delivering solutions for validated environments
  • Proven experience working within SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-based products and their data requirements.
  • Strong understanding of data fabric and data operations solutions and architectures
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for delivering customer value through innovative solutions.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred.
  • Experience in industrial software or enterprise platforms preferred.
  • Background in data-driven decision-making and analytics preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud technologies (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker) preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude to engage effectively with development teams preferred.
