Product Owner – HCP Data

Job Overview

The Product Owner, HCP Data is responsible for leveraging Health Care Professional (HCP) data to support IQVIA Digital products, partners, and clients. This role serves as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for HCP profile and identity data within IQVIA Digital, providing oversight for internal and external HCP‑focused data offerings.

The Product Owner works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality data assets, effective product delivery, and alignment with business, product, and regulatory requirements. This role reports to the Director, Health Data.

Key Responsibilities

HCP Data Ownership & Enablement

  • Serve as the subject matter expert, internal product ambassador, and primary point of contact for HCP profile and identity data within IQVIA Digital.
  • Own operational requirements and internal activities to optimize the use of HCP data, ensuring quality standards and transactional needs are consistently met.
  • Identify gaps in HCP data coverage and evaluate external data partners to address unmet business needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and input into business requirements related to HCP data.
  • Manage the ingestion of external HCP data and its harmonization with existing IQVIA HCP assets.
  • Educate IQVIA colleagues and select external partners on HCP data capabilities and usage.
  • Develop sales collateral and deliver training to go‑to‑market (GTM) teams on product features and enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, under the guidance of the Director, Health Data.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of the HCP Data product strategy.
  • Translate product vision and strategy into roadmap prioritization and execution plans.
  • Define, prioritize, and document product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business impact, and return on investment.
  • Create detailed product specifications and translate requirements into prioritized user stories and story points.
  • Evaluate datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
  • Thoroughly assess potential data partners to ensure IQVIA Digital HCP data maintains its industry‑leading position.
  • Support the use of HCP data across internal and external initiatives through cross‑product collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners to gather insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to deliver successful product outcomes.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and guide decision‑making.

Product Operations

  • Manage end‑to‑end processes for ingesting, validating, storing, protecting, and processing HCP data to ensure accessibility, reliability, and timeliness.
  • Develop and optimize external data ingestion processes, from initial planning through post‑integration audits, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Standardize delivery and receipt of external data files, including layouts, naming conventions, delivery methods, receipt confirmations, and error notifications, implementing automation where feasible.
  • Support ad hoc data specifications and onboarding for new datasets.
  • Partner with data providers and internal teams to define data requirements for new and existing applications.
  • Conduct internal and external impact assessments related to new data layouts, remapping activities, and data definitions.
  • Perform data management activities in compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and IQVIA policies.
  • Develop and support internal and external communications related to HCP data products.
  • Proactively address and resolve internal and external HCP data issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the product team and broader organization.
  • Support other Product Owners and Product Managers as needed.

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Monitor changes in U.S. federal and state laws that may impact the use of HCP data in IQVIA products.
  • Partner with IQVIA stakeholders to adapt products and processes to new or emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations and IQVIA data governance policies.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including Product Owner and/or Product Manager responsibilities in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience working with data products, data integrations, or data‑centric platforms.
  • Strong strategic and industry awareness with the ability to translate emerging trends into actionable product requirements.
  • Solid understanding of HCP data and direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Proven capability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $98,500.00 - $274,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
