Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Product Owner to drive our Satellite Positioning portfolio forward. In this role, you will translate user needs into clear roadmaps, guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure technical progress aligns with business goals. With your strong communication skills, technical background, and product management experience, you will play a key part in delivering innovative solutions that support Fugro’s global mission.
Your Role
You gather internal and external user requirements for products in the Satellite Positioning portfolio and define work packages, milestones and user stories;
You create and maintain a product roadmap;
You align the technical vision for the product with business needs in collaboration with Brand Managers;
You co-create business cases and justification documentation for owned products;
You take ownership of the project’s technical progress within the Fugro innovation project management framework, including risk, budget, scope, and stakeholder management;
You maintain a prioritized product backlog;
You refine and oversee implementation of backlog items with development teams in an Agile framework;
You provide and organize technical guidance and support for products, assisting internal teams and customers with product-related inquiries;
You contribute to product technical design where applicable'
You work with multidisciplinary, often remote teams, ensuring timely delivery of development milestones;
Your Track Record
You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical sciences;
You bring at least 5 years of experience in product management; software product ownership is a strong plus;
You understand software systems and the technology behind them;
You communicate fluently in English, both technically and non-technically, and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels;
You have knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), which is a strong plus;
You have experience working with remote teams and you are familiar with Atlassian Jira which is a plus;
