Position Responsibilities and Duties:

The Product Owner is accountable for overseeing and driving the vision, features, priorities and requirements of Engineering applications and analytical needs focused on supporting Engineering Services Shared Vision
Define and maintain the product direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SOLV Energy’s operational goals.
Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, and fixes based on value, impact, and stakeholder input.
Collaborate with internal operations teams and business units to gather, consolidate, and translate requirements into actionable development priorities.
Lead sprint planning and review activities with development teams, providing clear direction on goals, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Communicate progress, timelines, and product status to stakeholders, including feature releases, training, and implementation updates.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, process engineers, and application administrators to define product requirements and deliver user-focused support.
Partner closely with Engineering Managers, Performance Engineers, Project Managers, Field Technicians, and SCADA Engineers to identify, prioritize and implement features that improve fleet monitoring and performance analytics.
Support and track the onboarding of projects onto SOLV Energy’s internal platforms, including Vitals.
Serve as the primary liaison between business users and development teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and consistent delivery.
Research and stay current on market technologies and industry practices to guide future platform enhancements.
Manage a high-performing team of analysts and engineers to translate business needs into actionable product specifications.
Maintain an understanding of how the Vitals platform integrates with other SOLV Energy systems and tools.
Develop and maintain training materials and documentation related to new features, workflows, and system updates.
Manage and support issue triage, coordinating resolution efforts with engineering and software development teams.
Monitor product KPIs, user feedback, and adoption rates to drive continuous improvement.
Conduct data and performance analyses on equipment such as inverters, PV modules, trackers, eBOS, and BESS systems to support EPC and O&M teams.
Represent SOLV Energy Engineering Services at technical conferences and industry events, highlighting platform capabilities and innovation.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of product requirements, product development progress, and upcoming features.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical work experience
5+ Years’ experience in product management and/or product development preferred
5+ Years’ experience in data analysis and optimization in renewable energy preferably PV & BESS technology
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including vision development, roadmap planning, and backlog prioritization.
Proven ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
Excellent facilitation skills for cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and software development teams.
Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive product decisions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of programming languages, system integration, data analytics, and cloud-based application architecture is a plus
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, and Adobe Suites or similar
