About the Role:
LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Product Manager - II to drive innovation and strategy for our Lexis+ and Protégé product portfolio This position offers a unique chance to influence the future of legal research by delivering cutting-edge technology that boosts the efficiency and accuracy of legal professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Search, AI, or LLM, with additional expertise in the legal domain being bonus points.
As a Product Manager, you will be a key member of the agile development team, ensuring successful feature development in accordance with business goals and customer needs. You will take ownership of one or more product features and lead project execution, fostering strong relationships across UX, engineering, data scientist, commercial teams, and other product managers. You will utilize customer insights, data analytics, and market trends to drive product innovation while adhering to our LexisNexis values of customer focus, innovation, and accountability.
Responsibilities:
Gather, evaluate, and thoroughly understand customer use cases to guide product decisions
Anticipate customer needs and translate them into clearly prioritized product opportunities.
Strive to meet customer expectations while balancing usability, AI quality, and commercial viability.
Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis
Monitor key product metrics and iterate based on feedback and data-driven insights.
Evaluate product hypotheses quantitatively, including A/B testing and qualitative evaluation for interactive products.
Generate new ideas by analyzing product data for insights.
Product Delivery & Development Lifecycle
Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap, balancing long-term innovation with near-term delivery.
Maintain deep domain knowledge of owned features and lead product discovery, including early concepts and prototypes where appropriate.
Own product decisions related to the accuracy, relevance, and explainability of generative AI outputs in legal use cases.
Partner closely with data science, engineering, and legal subject-matter experts to define and measure acceptable quality thresholds.
Be familiar with SDLCs as identified by management, such as agile processes, and drive key end-to-end lifecycle components, from planning to release.
Technical Skills
Considers high-level technical approaches to use when prioritizing functionality
Comfortable using analytical and technical tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python) to support product analysis and decision-making.
Have a solid understanding of data and technical architecture principles and best practices relevant to modern SaaS and AI-enabled platforms.
Working knowledge of LLM-based systems, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation techniques, etc.
Requirements:
3–5 years of product management experience, including work on AI- or LLM-powered products; experience with RAG is a plus.
Proficient in English speaking and writing, ability to understand legal domain and English legal writing. Experience in the legal domain is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Demonstrated success in working on SaaS or enterprise software product development.
Proven ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and drive execution with agile methodologies.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influences stakeholders.
Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
· Experience defining and tracking product metrics across adoption, engagement, and quality.
Passion for legal technology and innovation, with a keen interest in enhancing the productivity of legal professionals.
Ability to leverage metrics and qualitative feedback to assess progress against customer needs and business outcomes.
Enthusiastic, self-starter mindset with a willingness to experiment with new products, processes, and frameworks.
· Experience applying methodologies to evaluate and improve generative AI quality being a plus (e.g., relevance, factual accuracy, grounding, user trust).

Education to Qualify:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred; a technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience) is a plus but not required.
