As a Product Marketing Manager for Samsung Philippines, you will be responsible for driving the success of the assigned Samsung Galaxy smartphone portfolio. You’ll combine deep consumer insight, market data, and business acumen to shape go-to-market strategies, manage product launches, and grow the Samsung Galaxy smartphone portfolio within the mobile market in the Philippines.
Role and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
- Product & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for the assigned smartphone models.
- Manage product lifecycle, from launch planning and pricing to end-of-life management.
- Monitor sell-in/sell-out & market performance and recommend tactical actions to achieve business targets.
- Align local portfolio and positioning with regional and global HQ strategies.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning
- Lead cross-functional GTM execution in partnership with Sales, Corporate Marketing, Retail, and other internal & external partners.
- Develop product value propositions, messaging, and hero features tailored to Filipino consumers.
- Oversee local launch campaigns, events, and promotional programs.
- Ensure timely delivery of marketing collaterals, product training, and sales tools.
- Market Insights & Consumer Understanding
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with research agencies to track brand health and consumer satisfaction.
- Translate insights into actionable product positioning and marketing communication strategies.
- Pricing & Profitability Management
- Recommend retail pricing strategies based on market dynamics, cost structures, and competitor benchmarks.
- Track channel margins, sales incentives, and promotional ROI.
- Support forecasting and demand planning with accurate market input.
- Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
- Work closely with HQ and regional teams to ensure local relevance while adhering to global brand direction.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and supply chain to optimize product performance and availability.
- Ad Hoc & Other Special Projects
- Lead or support ad hoc initiatives and special projects that contribute to the overall growth of the smartphone business.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration for strategic pilots, local innovations, and/or process improvement programs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting for assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have/be able to:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing/brand management/category management, preferably in the consumer electronics, mobile or FMCG industry
- Has strong analytical, strategic thinking and project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; adept at influencing cross-functional teams
- Proven track record in product launches and marketing campaigns that drive sales and market share growth
- Passion for technology, innovation, and the Samsung brand
- Must be willing to work on-site at McKinley Hill, Taguig
