This position is to manage platform life cycle from POR to EOL, and product cycle portfolio management, including architecture or new technology enablement.  We are looking for a proactive dynamic, and solid hands-on marketing professional to manage not only product portfolio but lead product launches GTM strategies alignment and execution partnering with NPI launch sell-in team, Category, press, and WW Marketing team.  The candidate must provide good execution capabilities, strong communication and influencing skill sets with strong logic.  This position requires highly creative and flexible mindset that is willing to challenge the status quo and provide leadership in driving changes to excite and engage our customers, or the current process flow.

  

Responsibilities

  • Product life cycle management, study the product portfolio for architecture refresh, plan and execute the product transition with markets.
  • Contributes to development and definition of customer segmentation strategies, tailoring PSS experiences to different customer segments.
  • Work with R&D system team to develop new product features or board refresh.
  • Proactively drive the product development and adjust the product features when necessary to enable potential superlative claims and key selling points for the targeted persona.
  • Need to be able to articulate technologies and product stories.
  • Develop user scenario stories or use cases with R&D and the eco system players, especially for AI applications and Qualcomm technologies.
  • Perform competitive analysis to support Product Service Solution (PSS) life cycle strategies/tactics.
  • Drive to meet platform NPS target.  Coordinate with cross teams to drive the best possible quality.
  • Drive product cost down initiatives to get the most saving for better margin.
  • Coordinate cross platforms topics.
  • Regularly meet with category teams to provide needed supports for Go to Market strategies and 4P implementation.
  • Drive proper SW or 3rd party app with good customers experiences, as well as special promotion program on products.
  • Minimize E&O risk.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and agencies in the development and execution of introduction plans.
  • Contributes to defining PSS program metrics, goals, and benchmarks, and establishes mechanisms to track and report progress against them.
  • Develops closed-loop post-analysis for marketing programs and identifies and executes indicated actions.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies. 

Qualification

  • College degree in marketing, business, engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.  MBA is preferred. 
  • 8-10 + years consumer electronics/consumer technology marketing or product design experience.
  • Highly creative and a demonstrated drive, confidence and risk taking
  • Proven track record for identifying, gaining support, and presenting an executable product plan
  • A growing mindset
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
