Neuberger Berman

Product Marketing, Fixed Income

Chicago, IL Full time

Neuberger's Product Marketing is a global team of 20+ members serving as the primary marketing contact for investment teams, providing end-to-end support across marketing materials and communications. Deliverables include presentations, factsheets, commentaries, brochures, profiles, external communications, market reactions, and website content. The team acts as a central hub — leveraging deep platform knowledge to deliver compelling stories and high-quality materials — partnering with portfolio managers, product, compliance, channel marketing, design, digital, client coverage, and client reporting to accurately and compellingly represent our investment strategies, products, and the firm to clients worldwide.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded professional to join our Chicago office (hybrid: 3 days in-office). We continually seek opportunities to improve content quality through effective storytelling and data visualization, with a clear understanding of the Product Marketing function within an asset management context and a proven track record of translating investment strategy into client-facing content that drives commercial outcomes.

In this role, you will serve as the primary Marketing contact for our Fixed Income investment teams, covering strategies across the Intermediary and Institutional channels. You will build strong relationships with investment teams and collaborate closely with channel marketing, product management, and other stakeholders to support client opportunities and the content creation process. You will also provide informal mentorship and day-to-day guidance to junior Product Marketing team members, supporting broader message alignment across the group.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Fixed Income coverage, directly shaping global product narratives and ensuring messaging is calibrated to commercial opportunities and client demand signals

  • Collaborate with investment teams, channel marketing, content, digital, and other partners to distill complex strategies and market insights into clear, client-centric materials — maintaining accuracy, relevance, and consistent positioning aligned with current market dynamics

  • Manage a significant and varied volume of marketing materials, demonstrating flexibility in prioritization and a strong sense of commercial urgency

  • Partner with the broader marketing organization on strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across all relevant materials including product webpages and presentations

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders: Investment Teams, Client Reporting, Compliance, Channel Marketing, Product, and Client Coverage

  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm's product offerings and investment capabilities across multiple regions, proactively identifying content gaps and commercial opportunities

  • Support junior team members through informal guidance on content quality, messaging, and stakeholder management

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12 years of product marketing experience within asset management, with a focus on fixed income strategies
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, marketing, business, or a related field required; CFA Charterholder or active candidate preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to translate investment strategy into clear, audience-appropriate, commercially impactful content for institutional and/or wholesale client segments — including sales enablement, RFP support, product launches, and go-to-market execution
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills; adept at simplifying complex concepts into client-focused narratives with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communicator with the ability to establish credibility with Fixed Income investment teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, with a strong instinct for connecting product messaging to client needs and business outcomes; self-starter comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency; data sourcing experience (e.g., Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Seismic a plus
