Product Manager - Technical

-: Overview :-
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager with a unique blend of product management expertise and hands-on technical experience in enterprise-scale DevOps practices. This role is critical to driving improvements in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for our global engineering teams at Mastercard. The ideal candidate will not only excel at defining and prioritizing product features but also possess deep technical knowledge of building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and related tooling for large-scale SaaS environments.

* Partner with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to define, prioritize, and deliver technical products that enhance SDLC and DevOps workflows.
* Act as the bridge between product vision and technical execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, guiding Scrum teams to deliver maximum value in the correct priority order.
* Write clear, actionable features and user stories that reflect both business needs and technical feasibility.
* Advocate for developer experience improvements by understanding pain points and delivering solutions that increase efficiency and reliability.
* Lead cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of best practices across multiple teams.

-: All About You :-
* Proven experience in product management, including backlog ownership, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
* Hands-on technical expertise in DevOps/DevSecOps, with a strong track record of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for large enterprise environments.
* Proficiency with tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and related automation frameworks.
* Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment strategies across VMs and cloud environments.
* Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef, Chef Habitat, and Ansible.
* Working knowledge of how applications built in Java SpringBoot, Python, Go, .NET/C#, Rust, etc., are packaged and deployed using modern DevOps practices.
* Experience with mobile app DevOps, including build and deployment to App Store and Play Store.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear product requirements.
* Deep understanding of Agile Scrum practices, with experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.
* Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and articulate technical concepts in business terms.

-: Preferred Qualifications :-
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including deployment and CI/CD integration.
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Exposure to security automation and compliance in CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for monitoring and performance optimization.
* Prior experience in leading technical product teams or mentoring junior product managers.
* Industry Certifications (one or more):
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Institute Certification for product management.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Docker Certified Associate.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $119,000 - $190,000 USD
