About the role:

In the Product Manager role, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of teller and core system capabilities, driving strategic initiatives that strengthen and modernize the organization’s front-line banking platforms. This role requires deep expertise in teller operations, transaction processing, and branch workflows, combined with a strong focus on product strategy, transformation, and cross‑functional leadership. The successful candidate defines product vision, identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience, and leads modernization efforts to ensure teller and system solutions remain scalable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for HORIZON Teller and system level changes, ensuring alignment with FIS’s business objectives and client needs.
  • Prepare and present product plans, identifying risks, opportunities, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to drive product innovation and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee product launches, enhancements, and releases to market, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
  • Convert business problems into requirements and acceptance criteria in epics for development teams.
  • Manages project inventory during the budget planning process, interlocks with companion partners, and prioritizes work as needed to deliver against the annual plan.
  • Develops and maintains product roadmap content, drives timely delivery, and communicates business rationale for roadmap updates.
  • Demonstrates leadership by establishing and articulating a clear vision of success and how goals and objectives will be achieved.
  • Partners closely with development teams to evaluate enhancement requests for strategic value and align resources to high‑priority initiatives.
  • Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Presents product capabilities and industry thought leadership to external audiences via webinars and client conferences.
  • Responsible for commercialization of new products and services.
  • Coordinates and facilitates pilot initiatives, acting as the primary client contact, securing pilot agreements, and tracking progress.
  • Acts as an escalation point for client issues requiring product change or resolution.
  • May require up to 20% travel.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of banking experience or related banking software development experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in financial services or fintech
  • Understanding of teller processes, workflows and transaction handling
  • Knowledge of core banking processing and cross-application processing
  • Technical aptitude to define requirements for system-level modifications
  • Experience with Agile development processes
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and apply new AI capabilities to streamline processes, improve customer outcomes, or strengthen product capabilities
  • General business skills and industry knowledge, long-term vision and executive presence.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g. executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts
