The Position

Product Manager Point of Care

We invite you to join our Business Strategy Chapter in Lisbon, where you will be instrumental in leveraging our POC solutions portfolio. This role is a chance to expand our market presence, challenge the organization, and lead us into a new stage of growth within the Portuguese healthcare system.

The Opportunity

As the Product Manager for POC, you will focus on strengthening key business relationships and increasing revenue as our POC solutions portfolio evolves. You will act as an individual contributor, taking full ownership of the POC strategy and portfolio in Portugal.

Your key responsibilities and priorities will include:

  • Strategy & Planning: Define and shape the company's POC strategy and infrastructure within Portugal, including setting direction for new solutions. Establish strategic plans and specific goals for the POC portfolio's positioning and market sustainability. 

  • Portfolio Management: Manage the entire Roche POC portfolio lifecycle, thinking strategically to analyze product lines and market trends to drive business transformation.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Point of Care portfolio, offering critical support to the sales and strategy teams.

  • Market Analysis & Business Development: Conduct deep analysis of the market and competitive landscape to define optimal product positioning, pricing, and marketing activities. Identify and develop new business and transformative opportunities, bridging commercial and marketing teams.

  • Sales Enablement: Proactively support the team in identifying and winning sales opportunities within the NPC customer area. Develop roadmap projects to strengthen market position and open new sales channels.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain close contact with Key Stakeholders inside (Sales and global teams) and outside the company (Key opinion leaders, customers etc).

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize information from the CRM to support activity planning and strategic decisions within your areas of responsibility.


Who You Are

We are looking for a proactive leader with a positive competitive mindset and proven business development skills, with a strong understanding of and ability to navigate the Portuguese healthcare ecosystem. You are an individual contributor and at the same time a strong teamplayer, who is ready to take ownership and lead the development of the POC strategy in Portugal.

  • Education & Tenure: A University degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Marketing, with a minimum of 2 years of product management experience within the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) industry, specifically with POC solutions. Previous sales experience is an advantage.

  • IVD Knowledge: Strong overall knowledge of the IVD business and customer needs.

  • POC Expertise: Deep expertise in  Point of Care Product Management, particularly in the implementation of POC solutions. A solid grasp of the operational needs within Emergency and Primary Care environments in the Portuguese healthcare system is a strong plus.

  • Patient Journey Insight: A clear understanding of the patient journey, enabling you to identify and capitalize on enhancement opportunities by deploying our solutions.

  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication skills, indirect leadership capabilities, and the ability to establish trusting, long-term relationships are essential. Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with local and international stakeholders and the internal local and global Roche network. 

  • Language Fluency: Fluent in both Portuguese and English for effective formal presentation and face-to-face interactions.

  • IT Connectivity knowledge: Familiarity with IT connectivity in Primary Care environments, such as Electronic Medical Record (EMR) integration is considered a plus.
