Product Manager – MaskX

The Opportunity

MaskX is where we rethink one of the most fundamental parts of PAP: the mask. This role sits at the centre of that effort. You’ll lead radical mask concepts from early ideation through to market, while helping define what the future of PAP looks like.

This is not a typical PM role  in MaskX we throw out the rulebook and aim to design a new echelon of ultra-desirable, consumer-focused masks. Expect to be stretched as you parallel process user research, early-stage discovery, product development decision-making, and innovative commercial thinking. You’ll be splitting your time across:

  • 0→1 concept development

  • Pilot product delivery

  • New business models (premium, accessory & subscription models)

You’ll also be joining the SleepX PM team, where we’re pushing the boundaries across devices, masks, business models and sleep itself. We’re here to support you at every turn and learn from you along the way. Come prepared to think beyond your product, share your expertise and others’, and get to know a bunch of truly incredible people!

Your Mission

Take radical mask concepts from zero to one

  • Explore new mask concepts with revolutionary form factors, materials, and target user groups

  • Translate the best concepts into viable products through research, prototyping, development and launch strategy

  • Consider opportunities for near-term value delivery in addition to our longer-term strategic bets

Deliver possible pilots to market

  • Drive final product decisions, testing, and pilot launch

  • Own trade-offs across comfort, usability, cost, and speed

  • Ensure a tight, high-quality V1 and extract maximum learning from launch

  • Help decide the future of pilot products, weighing strategic and financial value against other options on Resmed’s mask roadmap

Own the end-to-end experience

  • Drive desirability, not just performance

  • Focus on adoption, experience and adherence, not just specs

  • Ensure the product fits into real user routines and identities

Act as the integrator

  • Work across CX, engineering, QA/RA, and commercial teams

  • Bring clarity to ambiguous problems

  • Maintain momentum and decision velocity

What success looks like in the first 6 months

  • Key trade-offs for potential early pilots are resolved, with credible launch plans in place

  • New concepts are narrowed into a focused set of priorities

  • You’ve established a clear approach to testing and de-risking future concepts

  • The team is moving fast with clear decisions and fewer unresolved debates

What will make you successful

  • Comfortable operating in early-stage, ambiguous problem spaces

  • Strong instinct for desirability and user experience

  • Good product judgment with incomplete data

  • Ability to engage with technical teams

  • Interest in commercial models and willingness to experiment

This will probably not be a good fit if you

  • Prefer to work on well-defined problems and stable roadmaps

  • Favour incremental improvements overstep-change ideas

  • Are uncomfortable with technical or commercial complexity

  • Optimise for consensus over speed and clarity

Why this role matters

  • You will shape the future of PAP and help establish the new gold standard for OSA care!
