HARMAN Professional in Aarhus develops automated lighting fixtures under the Martin brand. Martin by HARMAN is one of the world leaders in R&D and manufacturing automated, intelligent entertainment and architectural lighting. The company is ambitious, and based on the positive track and growth, HARMAN Professional wants to strengthen the company's Product Management team with a motivated Product Manager to manage all aspects of the product life cycle process for the full portfolio of state-of-the-art lighting products.

About the Role:
The Product Manager, Lighting – MAC Performance is an expert that manages all aspects of the product life cycle process for the full portfolio this position owns. This role will be expected to conduct market research, generate product specifications and pricing, create business plans and support strategy development for this product portfolio. The role will need to be able lead and liaise with other internal teams including R&D, regional sales, global marketing and operations teams.
What You Will Do:
The Product Manager will work with his superior to develop portfolio strategies in line with the long-term strategic vision for this segment. The Product Manager will have an in-depth working knowledge of these products and their application. Essential responsibilities will include:
- Championing products from concept through development, launch, promotion, mid-life / upgrade to discontinuation/replacement working closely with other stakeholders including Marketing Communications, Engineering, Regional Sales, Project Teams and Application Specialists.
- Developing and accessing market research into competitors and their products as well as establishing customer requirements and understanding the demands of their applications.
- Uses information and expertise to work with Sales to inform strategy to gain product market share.
- Works to create solutions by identifying and exploring synergies between product lines.
- Works to develop a product pipeline by analyzing product requirements and development programs: preparing new product proposals, business cases, ROI analysis and product concept documents.
- Supports regional Sales Directors in the product messaging and launch of new products, as well as providing product marketing support for promotions, trade shows and sales events.
- Provides training and product support to Product and Application Specialists.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data and business intel; reviewing production and sales costs and anticipating volume by consolidating input from regional sales organizations.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Extensive experience in the professional live event and stage lighting industry.
- Expert level of understanding on automated lighting products for this sector.
- In depth knowledge of the performance lighting market with thorough understanding of needs and workflows for customers, lighting designers and other industry professionals.
- Thorough understanding of sub-verticals, applications and use cases.
- Ability to configure, program and operate lighting console for product demos and reviews.
- Must be fluent in English in all areas: reading, writing and speaking.
- To complete the demands of the role this person must:
- Have experience writing detailed and sound business plans and product
specifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to vary their personal style to different
audiences including sales and marketing team members and R&D project
teams.
- Excellent presentation communication skills for internal and external events.
- Proven negotiating and motivational skills involved in resourcing projects for
new products.

What Makes You Eligible:
- Willingness to work at Harman Professional Denmark office in Aarhus at least 3 days per week.
- Willingness to travel globally a minimum of 50 days per year.
