About the role
As a Product Manager for the Authentication Squad, you will be a key architect of "invisible security." Sitting within the Trust & Security domain, your mission is to design and scale the gateways to our ecosystem. You will balance the technical rigor of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and biometric "step-up" challenges with a world-class user experience that minimizes friction for legitimate users while stopping bad actors in their tracks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap for seamless authentication (Login, Biometrics, SSO) and intelligent "Step-up" journeys (3DS, ID&V) that trigger dynamically based on risk.
- UX & Data Excellence: Use granular data to identify where users drop off in the auth funnel. Partner with Design to turn high-friction security moments into intuitive, reassuring experiences.
- Compliance & Risk Balance: Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure our flows meet SAMA/regional regulations without sacrificing the "Tamara speed" our customers love.
- Platform Thinking: Build scalable, API-first authentication services that can be leveraged across the entire Tamara super-app ecosystem.
- Execution: Lead a cross-functional squad of engineers, designers, and data scientists. Drive the delivery of OKRs focused on Authentication Success Rates and Account Takeover (ATO) Prevention.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years in Product Management; ideally, you’ve spent time "under the hood" of Security, Identity, or internal platforms in a high-growth fintech environment.
- Data-Obsessed: You are comfortable defining usage metrics and performing deep dives into performance data to inform your next sprint.
- UX Champion: You understand that in fintech, security is the product. You have a proven ability to simplify complex technical flows into elegant user journeys.
- Technical Fluency: You understand the fundamentals of auth protocols (OAuth, OIDC, FIDO) and how different "step-ups" (SMS vs. Biometric vs. App Push) impact business performance.
- Stakeholder Maestro: You can navigate a room of engineers, lawyers, and business leads, translating complex security needs into a clear, prioritized vision.
