Product manager for (Instant) Consumer Lending

We are seeking an individual with a dynamic personality, excellent communication skills and a real interest in data, to take on the position of Product Manager at Consumer Lending.

This role involves serving as a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) within the Consumer Lending Tribe in the Domestic Bank Netherlands (DBNL) domain, contributing to team fortification.

  • Experience with our strategic building block Instant Lending for Consumer Loans at preferably ING
  • Experience in Risk Journeys and Product Approval processes
  • Excellent reporting skills on progress, results and plans
  • Big interest in and experience with data analyses
  • Big delivery experience in (technical) deliveries with developers in our application system.

Your team
This role is positioned within the Instant Lending team under Origination. The Origination team is divided into four teams, each further divided into 6 CJE (Business profiles), in proportion to 20 Engineers and Data Scientists (Tech Profiles).
 

The context of your work
As a new team member, you will join the instant lending team, consisting of 2 CJE (business) profiles and numerous tech profiles. Your role involves improving existing features and developing new ones to drive growth in the Product area of Loan Origination.

Role and responsibilities 
As Product Manager (CJE), you’re working with a multi-disciplinary team of Business and IT colleagues to deliver the best Consumer Loans journey in the Dutch market. As the business representative in your squad, you own the end-to-end customer journey for customers applying for a loan. Product Management knowledge and affinity with IT are required in order to devise a product roadmap that you will deliver together with your team. 


Other responsibilities include:

  • You take on responsibility for the loan product Overdraft and the associated processes;
  • You ensure that customer concepts are converted into IT solutions for front- and back-end;
  • You work together with teams outside of your product area and outside of your department; 
  • You consult risk departments about your plans; 
  • You gather and analyze data about our process performance and platform stability;
