Agilent Technologies is seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to lead the OpenLab ECM & future data platform suite of products. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our enterprise content management solutions for the global scientific community. You will work cross-functionally to define product strategy, value propositions, and commercialization plans that deliver exceptional customer experiences and business growth.
This position requires deep expertise in data management and data platform solutions to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant product offerings.
Experience with managing data platforms deployed in Cloud environment will be a plus.
Job Duties
As a product Manager of data platform, you will lead the product strategy and entire product life cycle of existing and new suite of OpenLab data products.
We’re seeking an individual who is deeply passionate about solving customer challenges and possesses a strong understanding of the product discovery process, along with the perseverance required to overcome obstacles and deliver outstanding products that truly resonate with users.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Insights
Solicit input from marketing teams and conduct research (VOC, technical benchmarking) to identify new opportunities.
Analyze market trends and competitor positioning; reconcile findings with product management and segment marketing research.
Provide data on segment customer needs and dynamics to tailor value propositions and positioning.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Develop customer use cases and translate them into compelling value propositions.
Define product value proposition, positioning, business case, and roadmap with cross-functional input; validate and socialize with stakeholders.
Provide inputs to R&D on product specifications and requirements for approved projects (PLC process).
Commercialization & Digital Readiness
Define commercialization plan and digital readiness strategy (Agilent.com, e-commerce).
Cascade business case, goals, and priorities across the organization.
Execute commercialization framework to ensure field activation on opportunities, target customers, messaging, and channel readiness.
Marketing & Campaign Strategy
Develop customer insights from value propositions to drive marketing program messaging and content plans.
Define and design campaign and content strategy aligned with product goals.
Execution & Growth
Drive ramp-to-volume execution and secure regional forecast commitments.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.
8+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or related roles in software or scientific solutions.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data management or data platform solutions.
Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and competitive analysis.
Proven ability to define product strategy and define commercialization plans.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms and integration strategies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with PLC processes and cross-functional collaboration in R&D environments.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Experience with laboratory informatics or content management solutions.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
