We are seeking a Strategic Product Manager to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven data platforms and decision intelligence products within the financial services and asset management sectors.

The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling machine learning (ML) and large language model (LLM)systems, driving data transformation initiatives, and aligning AI capabilities with complex business and investment strategies.

**This position is 3 days/week onsite in NYC

Key Responsibilities

  • AI & Data Platform Development:
    Lead the end-to-end deployment of LLM and analytics platforms to improve data-driven decision-making across trading, risk, and portfolio management functions.
  • Machine Learning Operations (MLOps):
    Manage AI model lifecycles, including fine-tuning, evaluation, and performance optimization, ensuring scalability and accuracy for real-world financial datasets.
  • Data Strategy & Governance:
    Define product requirements for data ingestion, annotation, and transformation pipelines supporting analytics, forecasting, and compliance functions.
  • AI-Powered Research Tools:
    Develop and manage conversation-style AI tools that enhance analyst and portfolio manager productivity through natural language interfaces for data exploration and reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Collaborate with engineering, quant, and business stakeholders to translate investment research goals into actionable AI features and insights.
  • Efficiency & Tooling Innovation:
    Design internal productivity tooling to improve data operations throughput, reduce time-to-insight, and support consistent data quality and compliance across products.
  • Strategic Growth:
    Oversee partnerships and vendor integrations with AI/ML providers to extend product capabilities across asset classes and global markets.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in product management, data platforms, or AI/ML applications within financial services, fintech, or analytics environments.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, data science, and model fine-tuning workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage complex data ecosystems across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, Git, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience leading initiatives that connect AI solutions to measurable business outcomes in asset management, trading, or risk analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
