About the Team
Here at BTI360, we’ve built a culture that’s passionate about developing software engineers. Software doesn't build itself. People do. In fact, teams of people do. That's why our primary focus is on developing better craftsmen, better teammates, and better technical leaders. By putting people first, we're not just giving our teammates more opportunities to grow, we're also raising the bar of the software we ship. BTI360 previously has been voted 10 years in a row as a TOP Place to Work by the Washington Business Journal.
Build products that matter.
At BTI360, we build software that stands the test of time, and increasingly, software that helps mission teams work faster, more consistently, and with greater confidence in high-stakes environments. We’re looking for a Product Manager who can help shape a portfolio of applied AI software products that bring modern AI, machine learning, and data exploitation capabilities into real operational workflows.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and mission. You will work directly with software teams and mission users to ensure we are building the right products, solving the right problems, and turning hard-earned customer trust into repeatable, scalable product success. If you’re energized by meaningful national security impact, modern product management, and the opportunity to work directly with AI, this is the kind of role where your work can truly matter.
What you will do in this role:
Own product strategy and execution: Drive strategy, roadmap, and execution for a portfolio of mission-focused software products serving users in highly regulated, security-conscious environments. Translate long-term direction into near-term priorities, clear decisions, and actionable work for engineering teams.
Lead product discovery and de-risk investments: Continuously evaluate opportunities and de-risk product decisions across desirability, usability, feasibility, and business viability. Validate customer needs early, uncover workflow friction, and ensure we are investing in solutions that create meaningful mission and business value before significant engineering effort is committed.
Translate mission workflows into scalable product capabilities: Partner directly with mission users and technical teams to turn complex, non-linear operational workflows into product requirements, reusable capabilities, and roadmap priorities. Distinguish between isolated feature requests and durable product opportunities.
Partner deeply with engineering: Work hand-in-hand with software engineers and technical leads to shape solutions that are practical, secure, and scalable. Bring enough technical fluency to productively navigate AI-enabled systems, model-driven workflows, data-intensive applications, and enterprise integration constraints without losing focus on customer outcomes.
Own product economics and business viability: Help define how the product business works end-to-end, including packaging, pricing, cost structure, margin expectations, and tradeoffs tied to infrastructure, model usage, delivery complexity, and support. Ensure the products you lead are not only mission-relevant, but economically durable and positioned for long-term growth.
Align cross-functional teams around a shared product direction: Operate at the center of product, engineering, delivery, solution architecture, and go-to-market. Ensure customer feedback, delivery lessons, and market insight inform roadmap decisions. Help the broader organization stay aligned on what is core product, what is customer-specific, and where to invest for reuse and scale.
What You Bring to this Role:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
Product management depth: 5+ years of product management experience leading software products from discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption, and iteration.
Mission experience: Direct experience working in the Intelligence Community or adjacent national security environments, with strong familiarity with mission workflows, analytic tradecraft, and the realities of secure operational settings.
Engineering partnership: Experience working closely with software development teams to ship production software, especially in environments with high security, compliance, reliability, or mission assurance requirements.
Emerging technology fluency: Hands-on experience with software products that leverage emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, data exploitation, workflow automation, knowledge systems, or advanced analytics.
Discovery and judgment: Strong product discovery skills, including the ability to validate customer needs, test assumptions, and make decisions under uncertainty.
Strategic thinking: The ability to connect long-term vision to practical execution and near-term product decisions.
Portfolio mindset: Experience managing shared platform capabilities or multi-product portfolios, including tradeoffs across dependencies, reusable components, and customer-specific needs.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to earn trust across technical teams, business stakeholders, and mission users.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Mission breadth: Experience supporting users across multiple intelligence disciplines or multi-source analytic workflows.
Go-to-market partnership: Experience shaping product strategy in partnership with solution architects, capture teams, or customer-facing delivery leaders.
Business model ownership: Experience with pricing strategy, product packaging, or license-oriented product business models in government or regulated markets.
Trusted AI systems: Experience defining evaluation frameworks, human-in-the-loop workflows, or quality controls for AI-enabled systems.
Scale-up experience: Experience taking a capability from successful pilot or early adoption to broader operationalization across multiple customers or programs.
