We are looking for a talented and passionate Product Manager to join our Data team.The Data department works across Amplify to empower teams with accurate, reliable, and governed data and analytic tools to support informed decision-making. 

As a Product Manager, you will step into a key leadership role in Amplify’s data organization, responsible for managing and prioritizing a roadmap for our data teams that delivers timely, actionable insights.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Craft a strategic roadmap: Work with business leaders, data teams and other key stakeholders to build a product roadmap aligned to company objectives. Ensure priorities support meaningful impact in schools across the country and at Amplify.

  • Embody user empathy: Gather requirements and uncover user stories behind data needs and requests. Ensure solutions truly address user challenges.

  • Deliver compelling data solutions: Take responsibility for successful delivery of quarterly projects, including establishing and reinforcing best agile practices.

  • Support cross-functional alignment: Collaborate regularly with business, data, engineering, and analytics stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of priorities, timelines, and project scope.

  • Define and track success metrics: Establish clear KPIs for data products and measure performance to inform future prioritization and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure data quality and governance standards: Partner with data engineering and governance teams to ensure solutions meet Amplify’s data privacy, security, and data-quality standards.

  • Champion best practices in Agile delivery: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and cross-team communication to ensure smooth and predictable execution.

  • Lead team communication: Provide clear, proactive communication on progress, risks, and changes to timelines or scope so stakeholders remain aligned and informed.

  • Drive documentation and process clarity: Ensure data products, workflows, and decisions are documented to support transparency, scalability, and onboarding.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics) or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of Analyst and/or Product Management experience in Agile environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including setting goals and providing guidance and support

  • Understanding of basic data-warehousing concepts and experience with data and analytic tools including dbt, SQL, Tableau, and Looker

  • Experience using different project management tools such as Smartsheet and JIRA

  • Strong attention to detail and proven record of managing complex projects

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the education technology field

  • Experience working with data products

  • Certification in a related process (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile Scrum-Master)

  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, with a strong understanding of data governance and privacy issues

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
