Position Summary
The Commercial Product Manager will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Abbott India’s Commercial OS. This role owns end-to-end commercial product initiatives—right from problem discovery and stakeholder alignment to solution design, delivery, and adoption. The individual will independently run projects, engage senior stakeholders, and work closely with technology and data teams to deliver high-impact commercial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership & Requirements
• Own the full product lifecycle including discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Define clear PRDs, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize features and capabilities based on business impact, user value, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities.
• Build roadmaps and maintain a transparent view of releases, dependencies, risks, and trade offs.
2. Technical Fluency & Platform Integration
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Salesforce, SAP, App Dev teams to design scalable, stable product solutions.
• Understand data models, APIs, ETL pipelines, system interactions, and architectural components to challenge technical decisions.
• Review solution design documents, API contracts, system workflows, and integration logic.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to develop dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) that support decision making and product optimization.
3. Vendor & Partner Management
• Manage external vendors, development partners, and solution providers to ensure high quality delivery.
• Drive vendor accountability through structured governance, SLAs, delivery milestones, and performance reviews.
• Negotiate scope, delivery timelines, commercial terms, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Ensure vendor solutions align with overall architecture, data governance, and security frameworks.
4. Project Management & Delivery Excellence
• Drive end to end project execution, ensuring high quality and timely delivery across multiple platforms.
• Build detailed project plans, sprint schedules, dependency maps, and risk logs.
• Ensure releases are delivered on time, in scope, and within budget.
• Lead UAT cycles, QA reviews, defect resolution, and go live readiness.
• Maintain structured documentation including BRDs, test cases, release notes, and operating procedures.
5. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
• Manage project budgets, vendor costs, and platform enhancement expenditures.
• Track financial performance, forecast spend, and optimize costs across development cycles.
• Support annual budgeting for Commercial OS initiatives by defining investment needs and ROI expectations.
6. Stakeholder Partnership & Business Alignment
• Engage Sales, SFE, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to identify business needs and translate them into product features.
• Facilitate structured discussions to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and timelines.
• Deliver crisp product updates to leadership on progress, risks, and impact.
7. Adoption, Change Management & Commercial Impact
• Partner with Training & Enablement teams to ensure solutions are embedded into field force workflows.
• Create adoption frameworks, communication plans, and capability playbooks.
• Track impact on productivity, execution quality, coverage, and revenue indicators.
• Continuously iterate based on user feedback, usage analytics, and performance trends.
8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Identify opportunities to enhance commercial effectiveness through new features, integrations, or automation.
• Benchmark global best practices and adapt them for Abbott’s commercial ecosystem.
• Support the creation of standardized product frameworks, governance models, and operating rhythms.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, ECE, or equivalent).
• MBA preferred (Marketing, Strategy, Analytics, Technology).
Work Experience
• ~5 years’ experience in product management or technology consulting.
• Experience with pharmaceutical commercial operations, SFE, or CRM workflows strongly preferred.
• Hands on exposure to Salesforce, CRM systems, Data Lake, SAP integrations, and application development environments.
• Strong understanding of:
• Data engineering fundamentals & API integrations
• Data structures & system design concepts

• Dashboards & analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
