About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Management Manager to manage & support one or more WIM Money Movement product teams. These Money Movement products are used to service our WIM clients’ accounts. The WIM Money Movement Team is responsible for features and capabilities used to move assets into and out of clients’ accounts. This includes cash, securities, internal/external transfers, etc. Primary goals of the team are to deliver innovative solutions to best serve our clients, financial advisors, and home office team members. This resource will be part of the Scrum team to deliver precise & timely technology solutions to the business requirements obtained, verified & streamlined in collaboration with the product team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in product management initiatives and deliverables for product lines or services
- Contribute to product analysis across applicable markets, conduct market research to any minimal to wider capacity wherever appliable and market results-oriented analysis.
- Review and analyze marketing programs for new products or enhancements including identification of market segments, product positioning, product bundling, pricing and profitability
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet project goals, objectives and deliverables
- Ensure programs adhere to compliance, privacy regulations and policies
- Collaborate and consult with managers, analysts and project teams to ensure that goals are achieved
- Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, product development experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Agile Product Owner/Product Manager experience; certification preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience working in a financial services organization supporting brokerage, money movement and/or asset movement.
- Ability to effectively lead a team across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of Product Management.
- Experience using Jira, Jira Align and Confluence; Experience with Agile Scrum and Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective)
- Experience writing comprehensive L2 features, acceptance criteria to support product objectives.
- Strong backlog management skills, understanding product engineering mindset, and understanding of data driven decision making
- Ability to identify business needs and deliver solutions in close partnership with line of business and technology
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Outstanding analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Affinity to build data flows, workflows, UX conceptions and mockups.
- Ability to understand and assess a strategy and ensure that the project objectives support that strategy
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience or a Master’s degree.
Job Expectations:
- Lead the product management team, its initiatives, & deliverables for product lines or services.
- Ensure product adheres to compliance, privacy regulations and policies
- Collaborate and consult across US, India & Philippines business users & product teams to ensure that product goals are achieved & we have better clarity of the future strategic goals.
- Lead Big Room Planning activities to ensure Scrum team(s) are prepared and engaged
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their respective product(s)
- Lead process discovery, feature/story creation and backlog refinement sessions with cross-functional groups
- Communicate to business stakeholders and team members regarding features and priorities and define priorities for the team(s)
- Ensure the health of the product backlog, including prioritization of user stories and maintain accurate data within agile tools including Jira Align, including 4 sprints of groomed stories
- Provide exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills and conduct demos to gather feedback on new features/functionality
- Sign-off on features completed by the Agile team; ensuring that the acceptance criteria is agreed to and the ‘Definition of Done’ criteria is met.
- Partner with business and technology to address production issues and maintenance needs in a timely manner
- Ensure all solutions meet compliance, legal, and risk requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Lead implementation and post implementation activities which may require off hours system validations
- Lead by example with dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
- Ensure product documentation is completed for all changes introduced to the product
- Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact products/ features.
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
- Follow system development life cycle and change management processes
- Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards
- Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses applying interpretive thinking and design thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
