We are seeking an insightful, disciplined and collaborative leader to manage our Product Manager team, which is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of products. This role will oversee a team of experienced Product Managers who manage the strategic direction and tactical needs of their products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management and cross-functional leadership. The product portfolio contains a mix of hardware, software, and consumables so experience with at least two of these is a requirement. This role is pivotal in empowering the team to champion a strategic future for a set of products, while ensuring proper positioning and addressing sales concerns all with an end goal of superior customer satisfaction.
You should bring comprehensive knowledge of product management, and have experience working with globally distributed, multifunctional teams. The team you will lead is spread across USA, China and Europe. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this position. You’ll be working closely with sales, R&D, technical marketing, product support, quality, and service delivery teams.
A solid understanding of the 4 Ps of marketing is essential (product, price, place, promotion) with an emphasis on how this applies for our core markets of (bio)pharma, chem, energy, materials, and even clinical applications. Experience in the following areas is preferred: proposal to obsolescence gated product lifecycle, price setting, market research, sales analysis, field liaising, positioning, collateral content, backlog management, and delivering compelling presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Product Managers; oversee team operations.
Define and own team processes (in concert with other divisional PM leaders), including gated development workflows and cross-functional collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
Maintain and improve team acumen by planning and implementing partnerships, mentoring, and formal training programs
Define roles, responsibilities, and resource needs based on a deep understanding of team functions and business needs.
Exercise autonomy in resolving operational challenges and provide guidance on complex situations and assignments.
Make decisions on conflicting priorities in consultation with business partners and subject matter experts.
Collaborate internally and externally on topics related to organizational goals and processes.
Lead projects or initiatives with impact beyond the immediate team.
Sponsor a culture of continuous improvement within the team, by advocating for a growth mindset and personal / career development
Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience.
2+ years of experience formally leading people, projects, or programs.
10+ years of experience working on product delivery teams as a product manager, technical product manager, product owner, project manager, or similar role.
Experience in at least 2 of the following product areas: consumables, services, hardware, software.
Working knowledge of an analytical laboratory is a plus.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
