Global Technical Solutions in Puerto Rico is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CO-OP student to support our Technical Publications team. This role provides hands-on experience in technical writing, documentation development, and aerospace/defense publication standards. The CO-OP student will work under the guidance of experienced Technical Writers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help transform complex engineering information into clear, user-friendly technical documentation.

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a leader in advanced aerospace and defense solutions. Through this CO-OP opportunity, students will contribute to meaningful projects while learning how technical documentation supports critical systems used by the U.S. warfighter and global customers.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity). 

Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico during the CO-OP period.

What You Will Do:

  • Support automated testing for PLM platforms (Teamcenter/Enovia) and help build structured test frameworks and dashboards to speed up validation cycles.
  • Contribute to enterprise-level PLM workflow reporting solutions to improve visibility and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze EBOM vs. MBOM differences, study data flows between PLM, SAP, and MES, and document current processes with identified improvement opportunities.
  • Explore compliant AI use cases within Teamcenter and assess Product Configurator capabilities impacting product variability and downstream systems.
  • Develop standardized test case documentation and create high-level PLM connectivity and architecture documentation, including integrations and system interfaces.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications;

  • This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Systems, or related fields, who are interested in gaining real-world experience in a regulated, high-technology environment
  • Familiarity with PLM concepts
  • Experience with testing frameworks, automation tools, or dashboards
  • Interest in AI applications within enterprise environments
