Product Lead – WB Lending Tribe – Credit & Capital Intelligence

AME (Amsterdam - Maple) Full time

At ING, we are transforming the future of lending through smarter credit risk and capital intelligence. We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Product Lead to join the Credit & Capital Intelligence product area with Tribe Lending.

In this role, you will lead a team of over 10 Customer Journey Experts in the Netherlands and Ireland with a functional responsibility for our colleagues in the Philippines. You will focus on team enablement, coaching, and shaping how people work together across the product area. Your leadership will ensure consistent ways of working, high engagement and effective delivery of digital solutions across risk-based credit assessments, risk rating models, lending guidance, and early warning monitoring. This area is key in providing credit processes and solutions towards other product areas that ensure risk compliance and a faster time to yes with a focus on clients, growth and scalability.

Reporting directly to the Product Area Lead - Credit & Capital Intelligence, you will act as the connector who ensures that our people and teams can work at their best.

The Team

You will lead a cross-functional group - mainly Customer Journey Experts (CJEs) supported by risk SMEs and change professionals. Together, you will contribute to ING’s global credit and capital agenda, delivering robust credit assessment processes, lending guidance frameworks, early warning monitoring capabilities, and model-drive decisions and insights. Your role is to ensure the team has the right environment, tools, and coaching to succeed.

Roles and responsibilities

As Product lead, you will:

  • Coach and mentor your team, fostering their personal and professional growth through regular feedback, development conversations, and career support
  • Ensure how we work together is clear, consistent, and effective across the product area
  • Foster collaboration, team engagement, knowledge sharing, and alignment across teams
  • Enable CJEs to apply customer-centric, data-driven, and risk-aware approaches
  • Provide clarity on priorities and remove obstacles so teams can focus on delivering value
  • Lead with a mindset of continuous improvement, leveraging automation, AI and agile practices to drive efficiency and future-readiness
  • Collaborate with product Area Lead, Product Managers, and other leads to ensure smooth delivery
  • Act as a role model for ING’s Orange Code behaviour - take it on and make it happen, help others succeed, and always stay one step ahead

How to succeed

We’re hiring you for your potential and vision. Our expectation is that you’ll stay curious, keep learning, and lead with impact. In return, we’ll back you to grow into an even stronger version of yourself. This role requires a combination of people leadership, coaching skills, and risk domain awareness. You can inspire and develop CJEs, ensure effective teamwork, and enable delivery in a complex and regulated environment.

Who are we looking for

  • Proven leadership experience managing Customer Journey Experts or similar roles
  • Familiarity with credit assessments, risk models, lending guidance, and early warning monitoring
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to enable others to succeed
