Product Journey Manager Life Protection
NN and ING have set up a common insurance team called the “One Orange Team”, with the aim to become the fastest growing digital insurance franchise in Belgium. One Orange Team covers Non-Life insurance solutions, Life insurance solutions and as from 2024 also Investments solutions. While most One Orange Team members are part of the NN family and spirit, the team is physically located at the ING premises and works closely together with ING’s Insurance and Investment Tribes. NN and ING have defined an ambitious roadmap to be the leading player in Life Protection solutions. You will be part of the One Orange Team working closely together with the Insurance Tribe. The Insurance Tribe delivers, amongst others, insurance solutions and related digital and branch sales flows. As a product journey manager you translate the roadmap and existing products to commercial storylines that can increase the sales both via the ING branch network and the online sales channels. Given the wide variety of projects you will be working in an exciting, dynamic growth environment allowing you to develop yourself while realizing projects with direct impact on ING clients.
As Product Journey Manager we expect you to be the champion of Life Protection Insurances (mortgages insurance, standalone death insurance, death insurance linked to loans, ...) within the ING organisation.
What does your job as a Product Journey Manager look like?
You have a customer and distribution mindset:
Identify, assess, and execute new business development opportunities in the Belgian Life insurance market.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new digital Life insurance solutions, leveraging market trends and customer insights.
Develop commercial storylines which are aligned with client needs.
You are close to ING distribution network so that you can understand and feel the distribution partner needs.
You are a key player in E2E delivery of projects, driving all aspects of a project, from initial concept to market launch:
Create business cases of concepts for management validation.
Understand and take ownership in the total commercial product delivery process translating new initiatives and existing initiatives to tangible outcomes (trainings, sales scripts, communications, ...) working hand in hand with our go to market colleagues.
Operate in an environment with multiple stakeholders: NN (Product, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance) and ING (Project Delivery, Marketing and Sales).

You have a master’s degree or equal by experience.
You have knowledge and affinity with Life Protection products (mortgages insurance, standalone death insurance, death insurance linked to loans, ...).
You have at least three years of experience in product management, or experience in a related domain (sales, operations, project management, marketing).
Experience working in a bancassurance and/or digital environment is a plus.
You have good communication skills (English and knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong plus), strong communication skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levels.
