Job Description

Product Integrity Testing and Compliance Assistant will aid in ensuring that all Lilly Pulitzer® products adhere to government regulations and meet Lilly Pulitzer® Quality standards This person will help maintain and organize all protocols This individual must be up to date on all new regulations and apply these changes to all current standards. They will communicate all policies and standards to all internal and external partners to ensure all Lilly Pulitzer® products meet all safety and quality requirements. They will be responsible to determine and communicate test report dispositions as well as analyze data and make recommendations and solutions to products and processes They will assist in analyzing return rate data to identify and correct quality at the product level as well as improve vendor performance. Performance in this position is measured by achieving total company net sales and PBT targets. Lowering the return rate in the e-commerce full price business, along with contributing to the department goals. 

 

A day in the life… 

  • Analyze, maintain, and communicate all results and standards with factories. 

  • Responsible for communicating with internal colleagues and overseas vendors regarding product test reports.  

  • Communicate daily with overseas vendors on testing reports to ensure all corrective action plans are followed as well as ensuring that all products meet Lilly Pulitzer® requirements. 

  • Maintain and organize all test reports and compliance documents. 

  • Partner with Surface Design and Execution Team to review fabric and trim reports to help guide quality performance decisions. 

  • Review and analyze factory supplied fabric and trim garment test report from Development to Bulk Stage, ensuring all standard regulations are met. 

  • Responsible for reviewing, validate and analyze test reports to ensure all products adhere to government regulations and are following US requirements as well as Lilly Pulitzer® standards in all product categories. 

  • Accountable to maintain awareness of industry standards to ensure compliance, while meeting brand aesthetic.   

  • Responsible to ensure all legal documentation for all merchandise is organized, accounted for, and properly recorded. 

  • Knowledgeable of all compliance requirements, federal and state regulations. 

  • Assures that proper testing is communicated during the development process so that testing protocols and product quality goals are appropriate and understood internally and externally. 

  • Maintain awareness of all fabric related technical trends, innovative fibers, new technologies and finishing techniques in the textile and apparel industry. 

  • Collaborate with Fabric, Product Development, Trim, R&D and Surface Design Departments to ensure that all products are developed to pass all testing protocols. 

  • Validate all merchandise testing is passing prior to the TOP arriving. 

  • Analyze and review data, disposition reports in a timely manner to all Lilly Pulitzer® internal teams, vendors, and suppliers.  

  • The ability to take ownership of errors and models how to professionally recover from mistakes. Proactive about finding solutions to errors or problems.

Qualifications for the Position 

  • A four-year college degree is required, preferably with a major/minor in Fashion Design, or a closely related subject.  

  • 1-2 years of prior experience in Quality Assurance and compliance, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.  

  • Strong understanding of FTC, CPSC, CPSIA, CAL PROP 65 and all other Legal regulations. 

  • Understanding of children’s safety requirements.  

  • Communicates clearly and concisely. 

  • Possesses strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

  • Organized, high level of urgency and the ability to prioritize work. 

  • Superior Excel, MS word, and power point skills. 

  • The ability to adapt to a face-paced environment, as well as adjust to changing priorities and process improvements. 

  • Accountable for adhering to all processes, procedures, and standards. 

  • A positive team player that can work independently with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects. 

  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to influence and gain desired outcomes.

  • This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime This position is eligible for standard company benefits.  

  • This position is required to maintain a structured hybrid work schedule based out of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. This hybrid schedule, which includes work done in the King of Prussia Office as well as your Home Office will be determined by your supervisor.  

  • Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods. 

  • This position is expected to collaborate effectively with other individuals in alignment with our Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities.
