This team supports all aspects of drafting annuity contract language, working with insurance department regulators to obtain product approval, and working with Corebridge Financial team members from other departments to ensure that our annuity contracts are compliant, consumer-friendly, and aligned to product design. Our specialized functions are delivering on Corebridge Financial's promise to our customers, our clients, our shareholders, and each other.

Responsibilities

As a contributor at Corebridge Financial, you are the one clients turn to in times of need. You act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems and the work you do every day is the heart of Corebridge Financial’s business. Responsibilities of a Product Filing Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Learning all functional aspects of the team
  • Gaining an understanding of filing requirements to enable preparation of filing strategies and comprehensive estimates; performing research related to filings in order to ensure applicable requirements are being met; ensuring that forms are compliant and all supporting documentation is identified and completed appropriately before submitting
  • Coordinating with direct team management, Contract Analysts and Implementation Specialists to ensure all forms are installed in administrative systems as approved and in accordance with product specifications
  • Collaborating with business partners to ensure filings and forms are compliant and meet business needs
  • Submitting contract forms to insurance departments using an electronic filing system and working with insurance regulators to obtain product approval in a timely manner
  • Providing research, documentation, and communications about regulatory requirements
  • Developing and maintaining reference materials related to filing requirements, experience, approvals, and other topics as needed to support the business
  • Supporting the business on regulatory audits and examinations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in the life insurance, annuity, or financial services industry preferably supporting regulatory, compliance, legal, operational and/or contract filing areas
  • Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent
  • Must know Microsoft suite of products with demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail, organization skills, and follow-up skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills – ability to understand impacts of simple to complex concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines; excellent time management skills required
  • Ability to work proactively and self-sufficiently on assigned tasks
  • Capable of working independently and/or as part of a team

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $68,000 at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. Insert if applicable: In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package, as detailed below.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX Woodland Hills, CA office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
