Job Summary:

As our Product Engineering Team Leader, reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will lead a team that is fundamental in ensuring our cutting‑edge detectors are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest levels of quality demanded by spaceflight and scientific exploration.

You’ll be directly involved in the engineering delivery of sensors used in Earth observation satellites, planetary science missions, astronomy instruments, and next‑generation space telescopes—the kinds of missions that image distant galaxies, monitor climate change, study other planets and expand scientific understanding.

Alongside these space‑focused products, you will also support the delivery of high‑performance scientific sensors used in applications such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and advanced research instrumentation.

You will work closely with operations, design, manufacturing and product management to ensure each product meets rigorous space‑flight requirements and delivers dependable performance across its entire mission.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow a team at the heart of our transition from a project‑led organisation to a truly product‑driven business. With this transformation comes significant scope for career progression, personal development, and the chance to influence how future space‑grade and high‑performance scientific products are built and supported.

If you are a proven engineering leader with strong manufacturing insight, a passion for continuous improvement, and an interest in the space industry, this role offers a chance to lead impactful work that will be delivered through our products for years to come.
