FUGRO

Product Engineer – GroundIQ

Nootdorp, Netherlands Full time

Job Description

The subsurface is one of the last great unknowns in engineering. GroundIQ is changing that, combining advanced ground imaging with geotechnical data to help engineers make faster, smarter decisions about what lies beneath. We’re building software that reduces risk on infrastructure projects worldwide.

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to help us build it.

Not a “full-stack developer.” Not a “frontend specialist.” Not someone who waits for a ticket. If you thrive on ownership, care about impact, and want to see your work used by engineers on real projects around the world, keep reading.

Your role

  • You take ownership of features end-to-end — from understanding the problem to measuring results;

  • You talk to users (and their proxies) to determine what actually needs building;

  • You work across the full stack: React frontend, Python backend, AWS infrastructure;

  • You use AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, v0, or similar) to amplify your output;

  • You ship fast, measure impact, and iterate — not just complete tickets;

  • You help teammates level up and actively share knowledge and learnings.

Our stack

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript

  • Backend: Python

  • Cloud: AWS

  • Everything else: you select the right tool for the job

Your track record

  • You have 4+ years experience building and shipping software products with end-to-end ownership;

  • You are comfortable working across the full stack (frontend and backend);

  • You are outcome-driven, using metrics to measure and improve real user impact;

  • You have strong problem solving skills and navigate ambiguity by engaging users and prototyping solutions;

  • You leverage AI tools to increase efficiency, speed, and quality;

  • You hold a pragmatic mindset, balance rapid delivery with long-term scalability and quality;

  • You are a collaborative and user-focused team player who contributes to UX, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
