You Are:

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Associate Director to serve as the Product Engineer & AI Growth Lead for Mission Operations. This pivotal technical leader will architect, build, and scale mission‑grade AI products while driving growth across federal portfolios. Acting as a key interlock between technical teams and business stakeholders, this role ensures Data & AI solutions deliver transformative mission outcomes by integrating product engineering, AI/ML strategy, platform governance, and go‑to‑market execution to accelerate responsible AI adoption in mission-critical environments.

You will lead cross‑functional teams—including product, engineering, data science, DevSecOps, UX, and delivery—to translate complex mission needs into secure, scalable, and compliant AI solutions. Additionally, you will help convert advanced data and AI capabilities into measurable business value through end‑to‑end strategy design and implementation. Beyond delivery, this role will also shape offerings, support business development, and drive team capability growth within the AFS Defense & Intelligence community.

The Work:

  • Lead end‑to‑end AI initiatives, from opportunity identification through execution and impact measurement.
  • Translate mission and business challenges into AI-driven solution requirements, ensuring alignment between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Position Accenture’s Data & AI platforms as strategic enablers for federal missions through thought leadership and client advisory.
  • Operationalize AI accelerators, reusable assets, and platform capabilities into scalable, repeatable offerings that convert innovation into sustained revenue.
  • Partner with Business Development teams to shape pursuits, including leading technical capture, building demos, and developing solution pricing, staffing models, marketing strategies, and delivery plans.
  • Drive Data & AI portfolio growth, targeting up to 25% year‑over‑year expansion through new offerings, improved client adoption, and scaled delivery models.
  • Lead commercialization of AI-enabled products, achieving meaningful sales revenue within 24 months with a path to continued growth.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to foster a high‑performance culture.

Here's What You Need:

  • Demonstrated leadership delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical Data & AI or advanced analytics solutions within federal environments.
  • Proven ability to shape technical strategy, architect complex AI/ML platforms, and guide cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, data science, DevSecOps) toward high‑impact outcomes.
  • Strong track record partnering with senior clients to define mission challenges, translate them into solution roadmaps, and drive measurable business or mission value.
  • Experience leading business development activities, including technical capture, solution design, pricing, and go‑to‑market planning for Data & AI offerings.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth of a portfolio, practice, or capability area—including offer development, commercialization, and revenue expansion.
  • Deep understanding of responsible AI practices, cloud-native architectures, security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, IC, DoD), and modern engineering delivery models.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders, resolve complex delivery challenges, and operate autonomously across ambiguous or evolving mission environments.
  • Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on building specialized Data & AI capabilities and talent pipelines.

The Extras:

  • US Citizenship
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
