About the Role

As Product Designer II, you will enhance the customer experience and drive business growth through design. You will craft user-centric solutions from concept to implementation and create visual identity systems, data visualizations, and illustrations that facilitate feedback and iteration.

What You’ll Do

  • Work iteratively with a balanced team to deliver customer first design solutions while influencing product strategy and creating experiences that align with business goals and needs

  • Lead balanced teams with User-Centric Design practices, focusing on end users' needs, wants and limitations at all stages of the design and product development lifecycle

  • Facilitate the process of Design Discovery and Framing by partnering with research to drive customer learnings and insights, create ideation testing prototypes and provide valuable synthesis and recommendations with the balanced teams

  • Develop visual identity systems, data visualizations, visual designs and illustrations for feedback and testing to drive adoptable outcomes

  • Demonstrate design expertise by helping the working teams navigate product vision, high-level business priorities and desired outcomes

  • Collaborate effectively outside of your balanced team to ensure a cohesive design language across ecosystems and contribute to the overall design vision

  • Be accountable for all design problems, balancing business goals with user needs

  • Foster collaboration and transparency within the balanced teams and with key stakeholders

  • Continuously learn and seek to be transparent and creative in problem solving while pursuing greatness

  • Effectively communicate design work and rationale for design decisions internally 

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You’ll Have

Required

  • 3-6 years of professional design experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or a relevant field of study

  • Professional knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies and tools

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills, visual storytelling, research and prototypes

  • Solid visual craftsmanship, use of established design principles and interaction patterns

  • Ability to create high fidelity design prototypes, mockups and other storytelling artifacts for various audiences and stakeholders

  • Professional visual and written communication that articulates design work and supporting design decisions

  • Experience with design and collaboration tools such as Figma and Miro

  • Use of research tools, such as dScout and Dovetail

  • Working understanding of multiple research methods and tools

  • Ability to proactively deliver design expertise by helping the balance team navigate product vision, high-level business priorities and desired outcomes

  • Experience building products for Android, iOS and/or web

  • Experience in design led workshop facilitation

  • Understanding of how to use and build a design system 

Preferred

  • Experience in retail, merchandising, supply chain, logistics or complex systems
