Nasdaq Global Index is looking for an outstanding person for the Product Delivery Lead role for the Index Dissemination Scrum Team. This role will lead the delivery of transforming the way that Index clients interact with our data leveraging the new Nasdaq Index Platform. Our purpose is to democratize investing by elevating work for Index clients.
Reporting to a Platform Manager on the Index Platform Design & Management team, we’re looking for an outstanding person who has the relevant domain expertise (see below) and who can collaborate across product, technology, and business functions. The Product Delivery Lead will be a key contributor to the Nasdaq Index transformation program by defining, elaborating and prioritizing platform capability functionality by balancing customer and stakeholder desirability and technical feasibility throughout the product lifecycle.
We are looking for an outstanding person to lead the Index Client Experience Product Scrum Team (Dissemination) to transform the way that clients interact with our data. The Dissemination Product Delivery Lead (PDL) will bring Agile ways of working, product sense, and domain expertise (or learning) to reinvent the client experience products for one of Nasdaq's fastest-growing businesses! Our purpose is to enable Index clients to democratize investing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of and have deep curiosity about the Index business, industry, clients, and solutions we offer.
- Operate independently as the dedicated Product Delivery Lead for a Scrum Team comprised of 4-6 Developers, a Scrum Champion, and a shared UI/UX Designer, delivering modular, flexible, and scalable Index Platform capabilities.
- Understand the agile product development processes, conduct story mapping, craft detailed business requirements, develop functional designs, identify dependencies with other Scrum teams, conduct gap analysis, etc. that bring the client and Scrum team to a common understanding of the product and how it will satisfy the business and client needs.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to translate roadmaps into user stories that are part of a well-refined backlog.
- Build and maintain the product backlog in Jira of new business features as well as maintenance and support items.
- Elaborate user stories for implementation, working with the platform capability scrum team and Platform Manager to ensure alignment toward the business vision and strategy.
- Evaluate team work product and resolve to fit requirements.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide production support issue triage and facilitate timely resolution, adhering to acceptable quality thresholds.
- Promote a collaborative working relationship with the team and stakeholders.
- Conduct all business in accordance with Nasdaq policies and procedures.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Provide requirements within capabilities that are implemented in AWS and Databricks to power the client-facing user interface (UI) and user experience.
- Demonstrate a deep technical understanding of platform capabilities, and how they are the modular building blocks of a platform service.
- Understand data and data modeling as part of defining and managing platform capabilities as a product.
- Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of agile development process and tools supporting DevSecOPs and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with development teams in an agile model to ensure effective delivery of solutions.
- Familiarity with defining end user tools and workflows in support of platform users.
Preferred domain specific Dissemination expertise:
- Solutions for Machines: Programmatic push and pull data delivery mechanisms like APIs, SFTP, and Cloud Delivery) with familiarity with Databricks and AWS
- Solutions for People: Expertise in UI with powerful data visualization capabilities (like interactive Index Data and Analytics charts, tables, knowledge graphs, and calendars), client communication (notifications, announcements, chat, guides, forms), features to make users' jobs easier (search, filtering, good information architecture, etc.). Collaborate with the Platform Manager and UI/UX Designer to craft user journey mapping and defining user personas
- Education: Degree in Business/Finance or related discipline
- 4-6 years of experience and successful track record as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Product Delivery Lead in an Agile environment or equivalent experience.
- Experience in software-powered product development lifecycle is required.
- Experience in Index, finance or the institutional investment industry is a plus, although it can be learned on the job.
- Strong technical and business acumen to extract implicit, unstated, and unrecognized requirements.
- Keen understanding of backlog management practices and experience using various backlog management tools.
- Effective meeting management skills to initiate, develop agenda, conduct, and communicate decisions so that all appropriate parties are kept up to date.
- Strong attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Understanding of web application development, SaaS concepts, and associative architectures to be conversant with the development team.
- Ability to "think out of the box" and develop creative solutions.

The base pay range for this role is $81,000 - $142,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
