Product Care Sales Representative – Milan or Madrid

As a Product Care Sales Representative (PCR) here at Illumina, you will be working in a fast paced team where you will be engaged in a variety of projects,
responsible for the sales of service contract products. You will be dealing directly with customers to ensure we offer the right solution for their needs.

Please note that this role is to be based on-site in Madrid, Spain, however we are also open to Milan, Italy as a location. It is essential that the successful candidate has fluent language skills in English and Spanish, with additional Italian language skills also being highly preferred.

Why you

You will have previous experience working within a sales role where you have been proactively contacting existing and/or prospect customers. A scientific background is not essential for this role however we will consider candidates from a scientific background that are enthusiastic to pursue a career within sales.

It is essential to speak fluently in both English and Spanish language, and highly desirable to have Italian language skills in addition.

  • Managing the customer sales process for Spain based accounts, using our CRM database to contact existing customers via phone and email
  • Meets sales targets and is responsible for accurate forecasting and maintaining lead, customer details and up to date opportunity information in CRM database.
  • Engages with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina service products that best meet needs, coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections, providing budgetary pricing, creating and submitting individualized quotes and closing the sales process through the point of order receipt.
  • Works collaboratively with the wider sales team in Italy and Spain
  • Establishes and maintains strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts including product end-users, management and purchasing contacts.
  • Track and report on all activities to managers.
  • Potential to do occasional field visits as required to help advance opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish essential
  • Fluency in Italian highly desired
  • Proven successful sales experience with a technical product line a plus but other sales experience would be considered
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
  • Detail oriented and ability to focus in a fast paced environment.
  • BSc within a relevant scientific subject preferred
