Product Area Lead - Safe Business Customer - 6 months secondment

In this 6-months secondment, this senior leadership role owns broad accountability across Retail Banking, where you’ll oversee risk management, customer remediation, vendor governance, and data integrity. You’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that safeguard our customers and the bank, while influencing strategy, shaping risk culture, and guiding product enhancements within regulatory frameworks.

With responsibility for managing a team and partnering across Tribes, you’ll play a critical role in embedding safe business practices that enable sustainable growth and exceptional customer outcomes.

What you’ll do
 

  • Lead risk management and customer remediation programs.
  • Manage new risk matters, root cause analysis, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Deliver key risk activities (RCSA, PARP, CHIRA, BCM/BCP).
  • Oversee vendor lifecycle and outsourcing controls.
  • Guide product and service enhancements within regulatory frameworks.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years’ experience in risk, compliance, or business management.
  • Proven leadership in large-scale remediation and issue management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk practices.
  • Expertise in data governance and IT asset management.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
  • Agile mindset with ability to lead through complexity.
