Product Architect Secure Platforms

The Product Architect – Secure Platforms provides architectural leadership to ensure security is embedded in platform and product delivery across the enterprise. This role bridges cybersecurity strategy and product engineering, enabling teams to deliver secure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The Product Architect works closely with engineering teams, platform owners, and cybersecurity leaders to integrate security controls, architecture patterns, and DevSecOps practices into product platforms and the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDL). This position reports within the cybersecurity organization while maintaining a strong matrix partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

Secure Platform Architecture

  • Define secure reference architectures for cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and data platforms.

  • Ensure security controls are integrated into platform architecture patterns and engineering standards.

  • Collaborate with cloud, data, and application architects to embed security in product design.

DevSecOps Enablement

  • Enable security integration within DevOps pipelines and engineering workflows.

  • Define architecture patterns supporting secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

  • Partner with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design development practices.

Security Architecture Integration

  • Translate cybersecurity policies and controls into practical architecture patterns.

  • Ensure security requirements are embedded within the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDL).

  • Provide architectural guidance on identity, network segmentation, and data protection strategies.

Architecture Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Architects across cloud, data/AI, and enterprise applications to ensure consistent security architecture.

  • Participate in architecture governance forums and technical design reviews.

  • Support engineering teams in resolving complex security architecture challenges.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve security architecture across enterprise platforms.

  • Contribute to architecture roadmaps supporting platform resilience and regulatory compliance.

  • Support enterprise initiatives related to cyber resilience and secure platform modernization.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field. 

  • 10+ Years of Experience in security architecture, enterprise architecture, or platform engineering or a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of related experience is required.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. 

  • Experience designing secure architectures across cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles including identity, network security, encryption, and data protection.

  • Experience supporting DevSecOps and secure software development practices.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or government.

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, Zero Trust Architecture, and secure cloud architectures.

  • Experience integrating security controls into engineering platforms and pipelines.

  • Strong collaboration experience working across cybersecurity and engineering teams.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform desk-based computer tasks for extended periods.

  • Engage in repetitive motions, including typing on a keyboard.

  • Occasionally lift and move items up to 20 lbs.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Ability to travel as required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $189,761.74 - $260,922.39. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
