Product Applications Construction Manager (CM)

Job Description:

The Product Applications Construction Manager oversees R&D construction and field

testing for new and current product qualifications, ensuring high-quality standards and

providing exceptional onsite technical field support. This role requires constant

collaboration with all Nextpower product R&D departments to ensure exceptional product

qualification results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite technical support for Nextpower’s product engineering departments

  • Take ownership of personal and team safety while on Nextpower R&D sites, and

    customer project sites.

  • Ensure compliance with all Nextpower policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Acquire and maintain advanced knowledge of PV solar tracking systems and related

    tools.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including project management, engineering,

    quality, and applications.

  • Review construction documentation for accuracy and alignment with project plans.

  • Provide consistent project reporting, including daily updates and weekly status

    summaries.

  • Conduct and participate in internal R&D construction management meetings.

  • Provide construction training for all new and current Product Applications Field

    Engineers.

  • Coordinate weekly scheduling and site logistics with R&D Project Managers.

  • Escalate critical issues to the Product Applications Manager as needed.

  • Support hydraulic and battery tool maintenance for installation tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction management.

  • Strong technical understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.

  • Proficient in the use of heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, bobcats, scissor lifts).

  • Familiarity with specialty construction tools.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong foundation in construction math and analytical problem solving.

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent client relationship management skills.

  • Ability to deliver R&D projects on time and within budget.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.

  • Committed to safe working practices.

  • Willing and able to travel when needed.

  • Prior solar industry experience is highly desirable.

  • Cal OSHA-30 certified.

  • CPR, First Aid & AED certified.

Work Environment:

  • Nextpower R&D field sites. This may also include various customer project sites.

  • Physically demanding; requires walking, standing, lifting, and working outdoors in

    varying weather conditions.

  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment with high team and customer interaction.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$110,000.00. (Applicable to California)
