Position Overview:
Are you passionate about using data, analysis, and technology to improve loan quality and drive better outcomes across the mortgage lifecycle? The Single‑Family Product organization is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to help evolve Loan Quality Advisor (LQA) and Loan Closing Advisor (LCLA)—critical platforms that enable lenders to make confident, data‑driven decisions and deliver high‑quality loans to market.
In this role, you will serve as a strategic and technical partner between business stakeholders and technology teams, shaping product capabilities that reduce risk, improve data accuracy, and drive efficiency at scale. You’ll work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where your insights directly influence product direction and customer outcomes.
Our Impact:
- Empowering Lenders and Partners: Our team provides actionable data and insights to lenders, replacing guesswork and enhancing loan origination processes.
- Ensuring Data Accuracy: By validating closing data against industry standards (Uniform Closing Dataset/UCD), we improve accuracy and efficiency in loan closing.
- Driving Compliance and Excellence: LQA and LCLA solutions provide real-time feedback, helping lenders maintain compliance and operational excellence.
- Supporting Homeownership: Ultimately, we contribute to Freddie Mac’s mission of making homeownership accessible and sustainable for families across the nation.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will be a technical leader advancing the LQA and LCLA product portfolios, expected to:

- Develop and refine robust product requirements by leveraging advanced data mapping, transformation, and integration techniques (e.g., XML, JSON, conditional logic)
- Utilize AI-enabled tools and analytical methods to accelerate feature discovery, enhance insight quality, and optimize delivery speed
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and quality teams to architect scalable solutions, resolve technical dependencies, and ensure seamless integration across platforms
- Define and implement success metrics, acceptance criteria, and automated validation processes to ensure features deliver measurable value, quality, and customer impact
- Identify risks, data gaps, and technical constraints early—driving proactive mitigation and informed tradeoff decisions
- Serve as a technical liaison, translating business needs and regulatory requirements into actionable, technically sound solutions that align with industry standards and compliance objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent professional experience, preferred
- Typically 5+ years of hands-on experience in product analysis, data analysis, or technical business analysis at a senior level
- Proven expertise in analyzing, mapping, and transforming complex data structures (XML, JSON) and implementing conditional logic for accurate data integration
- Experience using AI-powered tools and advanced analytics techniques for requirements development, prototyping, or test scenario generation
- Strong technical proficiency in Agile delivery environments, including backlog management, refinement, and sprint execution
- Proficiency with product and delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting data-driven or platform-based products in financial services, mortgage, or regulated industries, preferred
- Understanding of loan eligibility, credit risk assessment, and closing data standards (ULDD, UCD, XML), preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs and regulatory requirements into technically robust product solutions, preferred
- Familiarity with automation, data validation, and quality assurance processes in a product environment, preferred
Keys to Success in this Role:
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and structure complex problems into clear, actionable insights
- Strong ownership mindset with a track record of delivering high‑quality outcomes with minimal defects
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to manage expectations and navigate competing priorities
