Our Digital Partners squad sits at the intersection of carrier technology, strategic partner ecosystems, and modern product engineering — driving the integrations that power VIU’s growth.

In this role, you are passionate about our mission to enable acquisition, service, and advice however customers prefer, enabling maximum capacity for growth across all HUB distribution channels.

Job Overview

We’re seeking a Product Analyst to join our design-thinking and Agile-based Digital Partners team. In this role, you’ll work at the center of our partner integration ecosystem — bridging product management, technical operations, and data analysis to ensure our platform and strategic partners operate reliably and at scale.

You’ll own recurring analytical and operational workflows, investigate complex cross-system data issues, contribute to product feature delivery from discovery through launch, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. In joining our growing team, you’ll experience a high level of ownership on projects while being empowered to bring forward ideas and initiatives that continue to improve our product management discipline and culture.

What You’ll Do

Partner Integration Support & Operations

  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve data quality issues across strategic partner integrations, including duplicate lead IDs, API callback failures, PII exposure risks, and partner link misconfigurations.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for Strategic Partner API (SP API) portal inquiries, supporting partner onboarding, data corrections, and day-to-day operational continuity.

  • Coordinate with account management, partner teams, and engineering to escalate and resolve integration-impacting issues in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and distribute structured partner data reports — such as weekly bound leads summaries and lead attribution reconciliations — to operations and business stakeholders on a recurring basis.

  • Identify patterns in partner-reported issues and proactively surface systemic risks to the product team.

Carrier API Error Triage & Vendor Coordination

  • Triage and categorize carrier API errors surfaced each sprint, maintaining a structured inventory of open issues and tracking resolution progress across sprints.

  • Initiate and manage error investigation requests with external platform vendors, providing detailed technical context including session IDs, agency and agent codes, and error classifications.

  • Investigate platform-specific configuration errors and escalate to the appropriate internal or external team for resolution.

  • Keep carrier error tracking documentation current based on sprint review sessions and vendor responses.

Product Discovery & Requirements Development

  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and stakeholders to help define product capabilities, features, and functions for your areas of ownership.

  • Contribute to the authoring and iterative refinement of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and/or prototypes, ensuring functional requirements are clearly defined and validated with stakeholders before development begins.

  • Present requirements to cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, design, and operations; synthesize feedback into updated documentation.

  • Conduct research spikes to evaluate technical implementation approaches and summarize findings for engineering teams to unblock design and development.

  • Participate in design estimation sessions, surfacing UI requirements and technical constraints early to support accurate delivery planning.

Data Analysis & Technical Investigation

  • Query relational databases (QA and UAT environments) to investigate data discrepancies, validate partner data flows, and support incident resolution.

  • Analyze cloud platform logs in response to operational questions from product leadership and partner managers, translating raw telemetry into clear, actionable findings.

  • Investigate cross-system data flows between insurance rating platforms, CRM systems, and internal databases to identify root causes of sync failures and data inconsistencies.

  • Leverage AI productivity tools to accelerate data analysis, generate structured reports, and improve documentation workflows.

Story Management, Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Develop, prioritize, and help manage product backlogs based on partner and customer need, squad capacity, and value delivery.

  • Craft high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure alignment between product intent and development execution.

  • Author and maintain Confluence documentation for API specifications, integration guides, meeting notes, and operational processes.

  • Review draft API specification documents for accuracy and completeness prior to publication.

  • Document current-state operational workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.

  • Deliver structured weekly status reports to the Technical Product Owner, clearly communicating progress, risks, and blockers across active workstreams.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

  • Help establish scalable best practices for product and partner integration development and management.

  • Drive delivery and execution excellence as a key participant in ongoing Scrum rituals, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

  • Manage communication with stakeholders at all levels to maximize transparency, report on deliverables, and align on delivery expectations.

  • Provide input to test plans and validate test results to ensure features meet defined acceptance criteria before release.

About You

What You Bring

  • You have a strong sense of empathy for understanding and solving customer and business problems, with a focus on delivering valuable outcomes for all stakeholders.

  • You have experience working on digital products, within a technology environment, an existing business implementing a digital transformation, and/or within technology consulting.

  • You are a disciplined, analytical problem-solver with the ability to turn data into insights and insights into clear product requirements.

  • You can develop recommendations, create structured documentation, and conduct formal presentations for diverse audiences.

  • You have a strong business sense and understand how your product fits within the big picture of a comprehensive value proposition.

  • You understand Agile principles and thrive in an environment where iteration and continuous improvement are core to the culture.

  • You exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to excellence in the timely completion of projects and sprint commitments.

  • You drive strategic execution — translating strategic priorities into operational reality.

  • You have a strong willingness to learn and grow through on-the-job experience, coaching, mentorship, and professional development.

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excited about overcoming challenges, navigating ambiguity, and learning from setbacks in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience investigating multi-system data issues involving APIs, CRM platforms, and relational databases.

  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and investigation (SELECT-level proficiency minimum).

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office — particularly Excel — and proficiency with Agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and concise stakeholder-facing reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver sprint commitments independently in an Agile environment.
