THE JOB:

The primary role of the Procurement Systems Specialist is to assist with systems related functions that maintain daily purchasing operations and contribute to the overall efficiencies of the MGM  Resorts supply chain.  This position administers all applicable functionality in supply chain systems including but not limited to include tasks involving bids, break/fix issues, problem solving, system  upgrades, and user access.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.00 hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Support maintenance of Procurement systems, in support of Procurement Strategies.

  • Manage and test all system upgrades and enhancements for all procurement systems.

  • Act as the department’s user expert and core resource for maintenance, use, and development of the Procurement System(s).   Also provides end user support and training on the technologies in  support of Procurement strategies and acts as primary liaison between the company and the provider (supplier) of the Procurement system.

  • Research, analyze, and resolve system use and errors that occur at the property and corporate level. Communicate and coordinate with user departments to understand needs and anticipate and  resolve issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and provide procurement services to meet property needs.

  • Must consistently demonstrate a problem‐solving approach, initiative, independent, drive follow‐up and follow‐through in the performance of all tasks, projects, and communications.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience required

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook preferred
