About the role 

As a Procurement Specialist – Infrastructure, you will support sourcing activity across Transurban’s Infrastructure categories, spanning both operating and capital expenditure. You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver procurement outcomes that achieve best value and support business objectives. The role plays a key part in category management, supplier negotiations, and contract management while contributing to continuous improvement across procurement practices.  

 

Day-to-day you will: 

  • Manage the end-to-end sourcing activity across Infrastructure categories; 

  • Support procurement processes including supplier management, negotiating commercial terms, contract management, tender management; 

  • Develop and implement category management strategies and sourcing plans aligned to business objectives; 

  • Manage supplier and contract performance, including supporting strategic supplier relationships and performance reviews; 

  • Provide spend analysis, market intelligence, and reporting to support informed decision-making; 

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose procurement solutions 

 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 

  • Proven experience in similar procurement roles; 

  • In depth sourcing experience and proficiency managing major spend categories; 

  • Experience within the infrastructure, civil, or construction sectors; 

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills; including a good understanding of business and legal terms and conditions; 

  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across diverse business areas
