Role Summary
A procurement NPI account lead will manage multiple complex activities / projects that support program, R&D and marketing to launch products from its early stages. In this role you will have to frequently contributes to the development of new ideas, design and cost reduction opportunities, building robust supply chain with optimized costs and high-quality standards to meet program objectives. Leads and provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements. Building product BOM cost roadmap and monitor product health from procurement perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a complex individual supply chain sub-category; including data and industry analysis; reports results to senior managers.

  • Lead cross-functional team.

  • Meets with stakeholder senior managers to understand business priorities and translate them into supply chain strategies; influence the industry and marketplace within moderately complex marketplace categories.

  • Develops and utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools.

  • Mange supplier selection activities.

  • Drives supply chain & supply base optimization.

  • Provides input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operation strategies.

  • Assesses current and evolving business models in the marketplace.

  • Identifies challenging contract risk areas.

  • Advises senior level business leaders on contract risk areas.

  • Responsible to build BOM cost roadmap and reflect it to senior management.

  • Initiate cost reduction ideas & monitor execution.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in purchasing/ sourcing, Engineering or R&D.

  • Project management or a related field capability.
