The Boeing CompanyThe Corporate Compliance Supply Chain Sourcing Procedures and Training team is seeking a Procurement Multi-Family Manager to lead a team of professionals to provide strategic, operational and project management leadership to advance the overall effectiveness of our procurement command media and compliance guidance resources critical for PA execution functional excellence.
The successful candidate will support key initiatives as a member of the Corporate Compliance-Supply Chain Compliance, Audit and Process team, which includes collaboration with a diverse audience of stakeholders, as well as leading a fast-paced action-oriented diverse team of professionals to meet the business needs of our sourcing customers.
This assignment will offer the right candidate a unique development opportunity to lead enterprise initiatives and will expand your sourcing knowledge across multiple business units and operating teams through your interactions with Supply Chain personnel to support strategic initiatives, risk mitigation, process improvements and many other activities. This position will provide a comprehensive experience and the opportunity to advance a candidate’s personal leadership development.
The selected candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and effective communication skills with all levels of leadership through VP level leadership. You will interact with and support internal business partners, stakeholders, external relationships, and our community of procurement users across the enterprise. You will manage a diverse team of subject matter experts to support strategic initiatives, risk mitigation, procedural improvements, audit, training, contractual flow downs, regulatory and process improvements amongst other activities.
Knowledge of procurement sourcing processes and procedures is preferred as well as advanced problem-solving skills to provide guidance on highly complex sourcing related projects and ensure process and procedure requirement alignment.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage team requests and assignment of work for completion
Conduct weekly staff meetings with the team to build positive relationships and collaboration to accomplish work goals
Apply information in a way that contributes to the organization’s strategic plan
Utilize knowledge of procurement processes and procedures for effective interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another (e.g. Engineering, Quality, SC Business Operations, Regulatory team, etc.)
Practice goal-directed thinking and actions for problem solving and strategic decision making
Manager HR roles and responsibilities to assess team member performance for assigned work goals
Provide guidance and feedback to help strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem, and employee career development
Participate in leadership discussions and strategic planning related to People development
Use audit data and Procurement Agent feedback to implement improvements to procedures, training, guidance information, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in a supply chain or procurement-related role (e.g. finance, compliance, contracts)
5+ years of experience leading a cross functional team
5+ years of experience developing & maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
Experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or military experience
5+ years of experience negotiating highly complex contract terms
5+ years of experience building and presenting recommendations to executive level leadership
5+ years of experience implementing process and productivity improvements, and strategic business solutions
1+ year of experience with government contracts
