What you will do:

The P&W Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) & Turbojet (TJ) Business Unit has an immediate opening for a high-energy, analytical, and motivated Procurement Specialist.

Do you have the experience to join the team? The APU Supply Chain team works closely with suppliers to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that flourishes with utilization of the Raytheon Technologies Corporation operating system; while maintaining supplier relationships to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards.

Do you have uncommon analytical skills & ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers?

  • Procurement Manager for Large and Small Machining commodity suppliers
  • Strong communication, specifically conversational, email, telephone, & presentation, are desired. Delighting customers is a requirement by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired communication means.
  • The Procurement Manager is responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships, including delivery, quality, and cost, inventory, and customer happiness.
  • You will lead purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of on-time schedule agreements, billing adjustments, terminations mitigation & cost reduction goals execution.
  • You will align with the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, and UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW).
  • The role also offers the opportunity to engage with the relevant Strategic Sourcing team and participate in long-term sourcing decisions.
  • The role of Procurement Manager also requires the cross functional interaction with Regional Office personnel such as Delivery Assurance Specialists, Supplier Quality Assurance Representatives (SQAR’s), MCL, ESA, Continuous Improvement Specialists, & the GWS “Buyers & Planners” providing procurement & materials management for the commodities.
  • Driving continuous improvement of procurement processes, including collaboration with key stakeholders and adoption of new tools
  • You will be responsible to ensure GWS’s quotation, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, & placement of schedule agreements are completed on-time & in compliance with all appropriate regulations & procedures.
  • Travel required 10-20%

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Manufacturing/Operations or related field and 8 years of experience in supply chain, material/logistics, operations management or related field; or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Aerospace Industry experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in challenging environments with the ability to work in a global supply chain organization
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Office programs functionality.
  • Ability to communicate throughout all executive and non-executive levels of the organization
  • Project management experience with large, complex projects
  • Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
