We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement & Supply Chain Team. As one of the most recognizable brand names in the world, we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

We are looking for a high-energy, results-oriented individual to manage the sourcing of services (indirect spend). This role operates in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. The ideal candidate should have a strategic approach, be able to respond quickly to meet fast-paced requirements, and possess strong communication and negotiation skills. The Procurement Manager will manage multiple stakeholders and a reasonable number of vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy Development:

  • Define and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of strategies.
  • Communicate initiatives clearly to gain customer and supplier buy-in and drive anticipated outcomes.

Negotiation and Bidding Process:

  • Define negotiation strategies and oversee the complete bidding process.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate commercial terms, contract terms, and implementation plans.
  • Prepare comparisons and analyses to present proposals.

Compliance and Contract Management:

  • Ensure compliance documentation and signing of contracts with suppliers in line with negotiations.
  • Collaborate with legal, business, operations, and vendors to facilitate this process.

Cost Management:

  • Own and drive cost reduction and cost avoidance goals.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Manage supplier relationships and overall supplier development.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with safety, sustainability, and social responsibility goals.
  • Represent company clearly in front of suppliers.
  • Establish and evaluate supplier diversity/sourcing targets to expand supplier selection options.

Data Evaluation:

  • Evaluate key spend, performance, and compliance data to inform supplier or category decisions.
  • Operate with significant autonomy and discretion.

Team Promotion:

  • Promote the Procurement team both internally and externally.

A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will be responsible for fine-tuning the scope of projects and validating the budget in collaboration with the business. You will identify suitable suppliers and manage the tendering process, ensuring that pricing negotiations are conducted in a compliant manner. Comprehensive documentation of all aspects will be maintained to facilitate both internal and external audits. Once the tendering process is complete, you will award contracts and negotiate terms, including defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to measure success. Additionally, you will ensure that innovation is integrated into contracts, fostering continuous improvement and value creation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • MBA from good college
    • 5-8 years of procurement experience – indirect category
    • Good communication
    • Stakeholder management
    • Well versed with procurement digital tools – Ariba, Coupa, Jagger and others

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in creating, defining, and implementing procurement strategies.
