DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, as a Manager, Procurement/Sourcing and make a meaningful impact. In this role, you'll lead complex category strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvement in spend management. You'll develop and execute 3-5 year sourcing strategies, negotiate strategic contracts, and build strong supplier relationships that drive value through quality, cost optimization, and innovation. Working closely with Division Business Partners, Quality, Operations, R&D, and Business leaders, you'll ensure category strategies align with organizational objectives while building organizational strength through mentoring and developing procurement talent.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in matrix organizations with increasing responsibilities
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related technical field
• Professional certifications preferred (CPSM, PMP, Six Sigma)
• 3+ years of people management experience leading and developing procurement teams
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and category management principles
• Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings targets
• Experience working in highly regulated industries, preferably life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple regions
• Strong analytical and financial capabilities to assess market dynamics and business requirements
• Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
• Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel 0-25% as required
• Multi-cultural experience preferred
• Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
