Job Description

As a Procurement Engineering Leader at GE Precision Healthcare, you will lead strategic sourcing activities for Magnetic Resonance (MR) New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of supply chain considerations early in the product development lifecycle to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing Leadership:

Drive the development and execution of sourcing strategies for NPI programs within the MR modality, identifying and selecting preferred suppliers globally.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Quality teams, early involving supplier to influence design decisions for optimal manufacturability, cost, and supply chain robustness.


Supplier Development & Management:

Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and technologies that align with NPI requirements. Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk throughout the product lifecycle.


Cost Management:

Lead cost analysis initiatives, negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, and implement cost reduction strategies for new products.


Risk Mitigation:

Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks associated with new product introductions, including capacity constraints, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.


Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance and expertise to suppliers and internal teams on material specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements.


Process Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the NPI sourcing process, leveraging best practices and lean methodologies.


Compliance:

Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to GE Precision Healthcare's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.

Job Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) from an accredited university. Master's degree preferred.


Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or engineering roles within a complex manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI).


Global Mindset:

Experience working with global suppliers and understanding international supply chain dynamics.
