Role Purpose

To lead end-to-end sourcing across assigned Industrial Capex categories in line with Pernod Ricard’s global procurement strategy. The role delivers cost optimisation, supplier performance, governance compliance and risk mitigation while supporting the Irish Distillers expansion programme and existing site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes across Industrial Capex categories
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms aligned to capex frameworks (e.g. MF/1, Orgalim or equivalent)
  • Deliver agreed savings and cost optimisation targets
  • Analyse spend and challenge stakeholder demand to align with category strategy
  • Draft, negotiate and manage contracts in collaboration with Engineering and Legal
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, reviews and audits
  • Support third-party risk assessment and mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policy and governance standards
  • Utilise digital procurement and e-sourcing tools effectively
  • Support the Irish Distillers expansion project and related capital programmes

Essential Criteria

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ procurement experience
  • Proven experience sourcing Industrial Capex categories (e.g. engineering, construction, plant equipment, utilities, automation or MRO)
  • Experience leading complex RFP/RFQ processes
  • Demonstrated delivery of measurable cost savings and value optimisation
  • Experience negotiating commercial and contractual terms
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Finance, Operations)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital expansion projects
  • Professional procurement qualification (CIPS, ISM or equivalent)
  • Experience operating within a global or matrix organisation
  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of capex contracting frameworks (e.g. MF/1, Orgalim or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management and KPI tracking
  • Understanding of procurement governance and risk management principles
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing capability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong planning and prioritisation capability
  • Proficiency in digital procurement and e-sourcing tools
