The Opportunity:

You will be an important part of the 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) support team, the group that is responsible for executing enterprise-wide, installation strategic contracts for Air Force bases in the continental United States, also supporting Air Force medical contracting, the Air Force Civil Engineering Support Agency and the Defense Technical Information Center.

This position requires being on‑site at Lackland AFB, five days a week, sometimes working within a government records warehouse environment where physical contract files are stored, managed, staged, and prepared for destruction in accordance with DoD retention guidelines
.


Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be a critical partner in keeping the 772's contract operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll take the lead on high‑level administrative and clerical tasks, supporting both internal teams and external customers with professionalism and minimal ramp‑up time.

We’re looking for someone who brings a solid understanding of business practices and can confidently manage their workload with limited oversight. If you enjoy being the go‑to person who keeps processes moving, this role offers plenty of ownership and variety.

Typically, you will:

  • Assist in drafting and finalizing award documents applicable to price and cost evaluation support (excluding negotiating).
  • Assist in development and maintenance of contract status trackers, payment/ordering trackers, and training validation for CORs.
  • Draft and finalize a variety of narrative documents such as request for proposal (RFP) letters, correspondence, memoranda, and briefing charts
  • Assist the PCO with generating routine award actions through the contract writing system that is currently used at the organization.
  • Assist the PCO in setting up award contract files using provided templates or other documents.
  • Establish and maintain suspense/submittal logs, automated files, worksheets, and databases as needed in a centralized location.
  • Proofread records, forms, documents and sort contract record.
  • Handle day-to-day issues and activities relating to invoice payments including recording invoice payments and maintaining invoice records.
  • Review, research, drafting of proposed responses and generation of copies in support of a variety of tasks to include Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and protest actions or other claims against the agency.
  • Coordinate with other contractors, DFAS, and other paying activities to obtain administrative and payment documentation.
  • Provide all summary of activities during reporting period, in the monthly status report
  • Deliver responsive, high‑quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage a wide range of administrative tasks, including answering calls, typing, and preparing correspondence and statements
  • Input and maintain accurate data across multiple business and contract systems
  • Support contract administration activities with precision and proactive follow‑through
  • Work within key platforms such as iRAPT, EDA, WAWF, and myInvoice in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) to support invoicing, receipt, acceptance, and property transfer workflows



Qualifications:

Required:

  • Three (3) to 10 years of Office Operations Support experience.
  • BA/BS degree in an acquisition related field (Six (6) years of directly related experience may be substituted for the educational requirements).
  • Ability to quickly pass a Tier 1 background check (NACI).
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Desired:

  • Prior experience supporting a Federal Government procurement office.
  • Experience as a Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, or Contract Administrator within the Federal Government or military; prior experience as a contractor providing Contract Specialist or Contract Administration support to a Federal Government or military procurement office; and prior experience performing contract closeouts in any of these environments

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $54,700 - $112,000
